  • Then who was phone?

  • I ordered the entire female population with my haunted hamburger.

  • in the end you see the actual face of jon

  • LONELY

  • It's funny because shortly afterwards Jon strangled Garfield to death with the phone cord then drank a 3 fifths of vodka and died of alcohol poisoning

  • Garfield is a bitch.

  • Sick. Twisted. Brilliant. When this one feels like it hits you on a personal-level, that's when you know you're watching genius at work.

  • Poor Jon ;__;

  • check out 'garfield minus garfield.' almost as deep and depressing as lasagna cat.

  • ah hahahaha

  • As far as burns go, that was pretty decent, actually.

  • im sad. I fell your pain Jon.

  • Jim Davis actually made a big garfield comic where Garfield wakes up and Jon and Odie are gone, the house abandoned and for sale. Garfield realizes how much he loves them and goes insane from the loneliness. He makes up a fantasy where he returns to Jon and Odie.

Pretty much the most depressing comic I've ever read. I don't know where to find it on the net tho

  • ;___; Poor Garfield.

  • FF should have done that one.

  • @Josephdorf03 You just have to Google "Garfield Disturbing" and you can find a blog about them in the first link.

  • @Josephdorf03 Oh my god, that week of comics almost made me throw up. If you want to find it, I believe it is in the seventh fat cat three pack. I'm not entirely sure though. It's been a long time since I read about garfield.

  • lonely tylenol

  • LONELY

  • oh so roneri

  • I ordered lonely with my haunted hamburger

  • lonely

  • Please, everyone! Hasn't Jon suffered enough?

  • That's true! Yet making fun of him is too easy!

  • It may be very sad that these characters are manifestations of Davis' personal feelings.

    Just an hypothesis....

  • Poor Jon. Every which way he turns, Garfield is there to mock his pain. I don't know whether that makes me like him more or less, but considering that most cats do this, I guess I can just pass it up for normal.

    These videos are amazing.

  • That guy looks like Mickey Avalon.

  • I would cut myself if my cat told me that

  • If my cat told me that I would be like HOLY SHIT A TALKING CAT

  • How the f-k did you come up with this? You guys are TOTALLY psycho!! I like it

  • so stoopid, yet you make it so funny

  • How are you so creative? You consistently make these hilarious...

  • nice hair though

  • I think my favorite part of these are the backgrounds. They're so simple, and perfectly dead-on.

...That, or Jon's wig. It's awesome.

  • WHO WAS FOEN

  • Noooo that´s not true...I love that crazy guy who´s playin Jon!!!

  • I love the laugh track!

  • Another mistake was made with this video. This one came out on September 23, 2046. Note the metallic, futuristic-looking phone and Jon's foil pants.

  • genius answer man!

  • it's quite amazing what one can do with a three panel comic strip

  • Mad geniuses like Jim B. Davis are always misunderstood. Does anybody know what the "B." in his name stands for? Is it "Brainiac" or "Bobo?"

  • neandertylenol

  • The entire female population, ima use that 1 day

  • Garfield doesn't really MEAN it; it's just like 2 buddies taking harmless jabs at each other. I actually think the idea is that Jon gets laid all the time. But he never focuses on that; even when he screams "why won't women ever date me" it's just that momentary frustration we all feel before we score

  • Uh... uh, no.

  • Well, Garfield doesn't talk. We can only hope that Jon can't read that fat orange bastard's mind. I imagine if he could, that damn cat would be very dead by now.

  • Will he ever find someone to love? Time will tell, but one thing's for sure, he will need Garfield's support when things look dark.

We can only hope that this event made Garfield finally change his attitude and be nicer to his only friend, Jon.

  • Jon tries so hard to keep Garfield happy. He gives him food, home and everything Garfield could want, and all the cat gives in return is sarcastic remarks.

We can see how Jon is clearly suffering from his loneliless and this phonecall, followed by Garfield's unthoughtful comment, was too much for him to cope and he finally broke in tears. I bet Garfield understood he went too far this time and regrets making Jon cry.

  • Jim Davis grins and laughs at Jon's isolation-induced emotional and psychological agony

  • That hapless Jon "master" of the cat Garfield, I tell ya. Does he not realize that in order to curry favor with the opposite of his sex he must first sublimate the psychotic ideation "Garfield" and then receive a less concentrated haircut? Only then can this well-meaning fellow cease to experience stream of consciousness videos along with the melodies of lesbian love songs.

  • The entire female population does that include his mom? lol

  • no, she is dead, you insensitive bastard

  • this one actually made me laugh

  • Jon really is one of the saddest characters ever created. Perhaps at some level we all realized this all a long and that's what made it funny.

  • poor jon! he'll get it right someday!

  • Poor Jon. :(

Maybe he'd get a date if he didn't have that hideous haircut.

  • This video helped me to believe in true love again

  • My wife left me for Melissa Etheridge because of this video.

  • haha, rotary phone

  • It's a nice touch.

  • jim davis has off days. most of his crap is funny. some of it ... he should have just not even bothered making

  • Say what you want about Jim Davis... he encouraged impeccable phone etiquette.

  • Best comment so far.

  • just to reach you.. the entire female population

  • The entire female population called jon? wowzers! read in a library!

but no, seriously, he's gonna die alone and it's a laughing matter.

  • lonely

  • jon is hot.

  • ..........I didn't give you a thumbs up....

  • just because he's old and famous does not make garfield a classic.

although its hard to beleive hes been a swirling vortex of unfunny for over a quarter of a century.

  • Talk about a cynical strip, Mr. Davis.

  • lonely

  • Jim Davis draws the fucking CAD stare, for godsake.

  • so sad:(

  • lonely

  • I used to feel so bad for Jon but now Liz the vetrenarian's his girlfriend so now he's ok.

  • Liz is real??

  • Wow, they actually had the guy act out his reaction to the last thing said. I haven't seen you guys do that before haha

  • lonely.

  • Lonely?

  • Lonely.

  • SO RONERY ;_;

  • HAHAHAHHA!! legend

  • i love jons tone in this one, lol. so hurt.

  • Jon really has a rough time of it.

  • The visceral emotion that Jon displays makes this tied with the "Making Toast" one as the best episode.

  • Poor Jon.

  • just one of those days

  • Garfield always has a sarcastic remark to say at the end of every one of these kinds of comic strips.

  • If by 'sarcastic' you mean 'unfunny and lame'

  • It's still sarcastic.

  • Mega-LOLZ to u good sir

  • This is yet another great video but it's also has more pathos and tragedy than perhaps any movie in the past 10 years. It is almost hard to laugh at it. But then I go see the toast one or the "Head Like a Hole" one again and I feel all better.

  • Not only does Jon not have a girlfriend, he doesn't even have a real cat.;)

  • NOT TRUE :P

  • Oh-ho! How divergent! You used additional footage on this one. Not like you need to, so don't let it become a habit.

...I've never clicked this many 5's from one person on youtube in my life. epic win

  • suicide is painless, Jon.

  • John looks like the unholy son of Seth Myers from SNL and Bob Dylan.

  • Jon's troubles should start to clear up once he accepts what happened to his wife and takes her remains out of the basement.

The cat might even stop talking to him.

  • Best comment ever.

  • Same might be true for Jim

  • Nothing he can do or buy will get Bill Watterson and that stare out of his dreams now.

  • That comment deserves some sort of reward.. thank you.

  • nevermind, I suck at the whole intertubes thing.

  • garfield you heartless fucker

  • I laughed out loud on that one.

  • Looks like he's not getting any for a while:D

  • :P :P :P :P :P

  • I like that you used additional footage.

  • Garfield is a cat who is amused by his owner's difficulties with females.

  • Oh, I get it now.

  • snap

  • garfield hella owned jon just now

  • hOLY CRAP.

Something Garfield related made me laugh.

  • Thank you, Fatal Farm, for bringing Jon's crippling depression to light.

  • Well played sir

  • More humor in just one video than has been wrung out of the collected strips of Garfield since, well, ever.

  • lawl

  • what

    the fuck

  • This is so creepy and awful I want to die

    5 stars

  • I know John is a pathetic loser who talks to his cat, and it's unclear if Jon can 'hear' Garfields thoughts anyway, this video does make me feel kinda bad for him.

All he wants is a date for saturday night . . . :(
