  • cannot believe they put an american flag out the window...

British engineering... america could never produce something like that.

  • The most magnificent of all civil airliners ever made.Nothing has come close to this in terms of majesty, class and sheer beauty. Seems we're headed backwards, not forwards these days. Too many accountants, not enough dreamers!

  • William and Harry, get that thing out of mothballs for 2012 Olympic Games

  • Those Rolls Royce engines are fooking MEGA!

  • I love Museum-Airplanes

  • What a beautiful aircraft.

  • thsoe egnie ns were jsut sued they shoiudl be relaly hot

  • I mean to the cars

  • Now why is this plane so close to the landing strip?

  • Hopefully youa r ento trygint o selkl this... -. -.

  • Where is the Concorde? in heath row airport?

  • They claim that Boeing's 747 is the "Queen of the Skies".

If thats true, then Concorde is without a doubt our King.

  • @RK1Hatty The 747 was referred to as "Queen of the Skies" because it reigned as the LARGEST commercial aircraft in the world for over three decades and it was a remarkable achievement for its time. The 2nd largest plane of the era was the 707. So, yes, the 747 was and IS the Queen of the Skies (despite the A380 being out). Concorde is Princess or 2nd in line for Queen. G-BAOF now sits on display at Bristol Filton Airport in the UK.

  • the best ever love it i am missing it so much

  • It would be great if there was a way for Concorde to fly again, but it won't happen. Despite any "Save the Concorde Groups" the cost to test and re-fly one after almost 8 years with no support from Airbus makes it out of the question. AF or BA should have kept one around when it retired (but flatly refused due to cost). At least they preserved most of them for museums.

  • @Scorpion1054 - but the costs could be compared to the Vulcan recently returned to flight ( a very complex aircraft by all accounts ), and it's manufactuer doesn't even exists any more! Amazing what people can do when they TRY. Yes it needs vast amounts of money - but they have just spent £2.6 million purely over-hauling Flying Scotsman in the National Railway museum collection for heavens sake!

  • I think they were looking for an excuse to retire Concorde and what happened in Paris gave them that excuse.

There's a rumour going round that Concorde might fly over the Olympic Stadium during the Opening Ceremony for the Olympic Games next year in London. Can't see it happening myself but that would be one hell of a way to light the Olympic torch wouldn't it!

  • a total and utter travesty that these planes were taken out of service for an incident that was caused by someone else s garbage on the runway

  • A wonderful day for Concorde!! I hope she takes to the skies again.

  • wow this brought back memories at 30 seconds thats the exact noise i heard every day as a kid at 11 am as concorde left london and flew over my school and house in Reading you didn't even have to look at the clock to know the time, i can't remember not once hearing that noise and not looking up was just apart of everyday life now i realise how iconic what it was that i saw everyday!

  • I was at this OSH in 03' and stood real close to Shell square when they pulled in. Just an awesome plane to watch......too bad it's not around anymore.

  • It looks huge in the video, but it's really not. Miss seeing these at JFK :(

  • Concorde is the most beautiful aircraft ever built - RIP concorde, blue skies forever!!

  • is oshkosh like woodstock for pilots or something similar?

  • @petaboil I live 20 minutes from this place and its insane. If you love flight come here. For one week Straight it is the busiest airport in the world. Words cannot describe it.

  • @Autovomatic not to be controversial, but im sure heathrow is much more busier

  • @nmbanana Not during the week of the convention it isn't.

  • @Autovomatic Have you ever heard Heathrow ATC giving instructions like "BA 767 rock your wings. Virgin 747, you are cleared to land 34L, on the white dot. BA 767, follow the Virging 747, you are cleared to land 34L on the green dot. Emirates 777, rock your wings.. Emirates 777 be sure to keep it fast for me, cleared to land 34L, red dot. All aircraft: keep in a single-file line and follow the railroad tracks until given instructions..."? Oshkosh is definitely something special.

  • @UHOH74 yea it is. I went this year for the first time. Hoping to return next year

  • @petaboil you could call it that.

  • i was saddened to learn that these babies were decomissioned because of the tragedies it made in the past. how i wish i could see myself ride as a passenger in the near future. please bring back these babies to the industry. at least one ride is enough for me. ehehehehe

  • befor u no it. thare might be a new concord!!! boeing 707sst

  • @Mahoney8T7 AA is at East Fortune, AB - Heathrow, AC - Manchester, AD - New York, AE - Barbados, AF - Bristol, AG - Seattle.

  • how did they get the concorde there

  • It flew...

    Ha. Sorry.

Concorde did air-shows, it wasn't unheard of. They would have just contacted BA and BA would have arranged operations to have a spare aircraft. This was of course paid for.

  • Was there, loved it
