What is wrong with this mix , Timbaland uses beat matching with a drop in Casio drum patch and the computer program pulls it over the recording and 'matches it', then it's mixed up way in the front. Chris need Roy Thomas Baker in this case and sessionists and guests with a few MOR singles. Not Timbaland actually. He's got a Sub Pop sound - Seattle.
this is a really different sound, but i like it! i absolutely love the soundgarden/temple of the dog/audioslave days (gotta love the Rage) but this is an interesting new sound...and i love anything that timbaland does. it will take some getting used to--the same thing as lil waynes new rock album--but i love to see musicians (and listeners) that arent restricited to a single genre.

What is wrong with this mix , Timbaland uses beat matching with a drop in Casio drum patch and the computer program pulls it over the recording and 'matches it', then it's mixed up way in the front. Chris need Roy Thomas Baker in this case and sessionists and guests with a few MOR singles. Not Timbaland actually. He's got a Sub Pop sound - Seattle.

this is a really different sound, but i like it! i absolutely love the soundgarden/temple of the dog/audioslave days (gotta love the Rage) but this is an interesting new sound...and i love anything that timbaland does. it will take some getting used to--the same thing as lil waynes new rock album--but i love to see musicians (and listeners) that arent restricited to a single genre.

If you consider yourself truly interested and knowledgeable about the creative arts- in this case music/ it should go without saying, that inspired creative ingenuity is NOT limited to one genre, era, or style. Music either has artistic merit or it doesn't, taste being subjective there is far more criteria to worthwhile music than trends and fads. It's funny. I have watched his videos and listened to him for years but he looks quiet and moody. I just watched an interview with him and he is such a strong, well spoken intelligent guy. I love him even more now. He looks nothing singing like he does when just talking, weird and cool.

All the comments on Cornell's new videos on Youtube are amazing. People are so quick to throw up the sellout card. Wouldn't a sellout be someone who tries to recreate their previous success? Don't you think he knew when he recorded this album there would be a huge backlash from his fans? It's music, it evolves, it cannot stagnate. Recording one album in a different style doesn't define the rest of someone's career. In terms of pop music, this album is downright amazing.

From what I hear, their new album was based on a wheel they spun with different genres written on it. Sounds like a really lame way to write music. I haven't heard the album, but that 21 Guns song just sounds like another crappy Greenday song. I don't know if it's supposed to be a "protest" song or what, but I don't like it, not at all.

this gives me an odd feeling.. Chris Cornell became one of my favorite lyricists when he was with Audioslave. The lyrics in this are deep and meaningful, I just can't get used to the idea of them being done over a beat machine and digital music.

This track is still tolerable, the other ones from this album are literally evidence of the fact we all go through cycles of mental retardation at some point in life. I hope he comes to his senses.
