look dude, metroid is a first person adventure. FPA. why? because the game is all about exploring, solving puzzles and the beautifull envoirments. shooting is just the combat system a minor part of the game and way to shallow for a fps. and that works great for it, because it isnt a shooter.

according to your logic mario 64 is a fighting game because mario stomps enemies. LOL

the creaters call it a FPA. nintendo calls it a FPA the reviewers call it a FPA. it plays like an adventur. its a FPA.

then what are some other "FPA's"? mario 64 is a 3d platformer because you explore platforms in a 3d environment, you don't fight people by jumping on them in other fighting games. metroid prime has some platforming and puzzle solving, but plays exactly like any first person shooter does, so shut up

read my comment again. what other FPA's exist that aren't metroid prime? i'm not saying it controls like a first person shooter, it "plays" like one. its a run and gun game where you shoot aliens in a first person perspective, adding platforming and puzzles doesn't make it a category all its own.

metroid prime was created in the last gen. its a fairly new genre ofcourse its either the only one or one of the few. and the first person is a sub part of the main genre: action adventure. and its not a run and gun game. its all about exploring and some puzzle solving and platforming, with some shooting mixed in for variety. you dont call zelda a hack 'n slash game just because link wields a sword right? if you still dont get it then you just completely missed the point of the game.

its been 8 years since the first prime came out, that's more than enough time for there to have been more than just one game/series to adopt its sense of exploration. Duke Nukem 3d had you search the levels for secrets and keycards in order to get through the level, that's still considered first person shooter, even if you can explore a little. zelda is a 3d platformer in a particular genre. the point of the game is to have fun, and i did, but i hate butthurt fanboys like you.

yeah but developers like to make adventures third person, thats why metroid prime is so unique. you might explore a teensy bit in dukenukeém 3d but not the amount or in dept as metroid prime. just watch gamespots review of metroid prime 1. the whole thing (besides the parts where you're a ball) is in first person, and you shoot things, therefore its more of a first person shooter then an adventure game. gamespot isn't always right. zelda is an open world 3d platformer with some puzzle mechanics and sword fighting, qualifying it as an action adventure title. you're a fanboy cause you think you know what your talking about.

i had the same decision to make other day, i went for the conduit because im a fps fan i kind of wish i just rented it because the multiplayer is full of cheaters and glitchers. i would rent this out first to see if you like it.i bought it but now i want rid of it

Yeah, i stop playing becouse of the hackers! I don't have luck with hackers, i fould one every online match i play so i stop playing. They fly, they have infinite life, they have all the guns, they junp to the moon and shoot you with infinite ammo and that list go on. Think! It's imposible play this game online.

ok 1 thing to get in that head of yours ( not to be mean) but the conduit will never EVEEEEEEEEEEEEER beat metroid prime 3 when it comes to single play, as a matter of fact it probally cant even beat metroid with its single and multiplayer put together

i love Metroid Prime 3, but to be fair, i think The Conduit is better ot at least as good as MP3. The multiplayer in the conduit is really fun and it makes me play it for hours and hours and hours, making it a great experience. The single player is really good too, but, to be fair, it's a matter of opinion. I love both The Conduit and Metroid Prime 3.

and here's a message to all gamers who on 360's and PS3's who hate this game:

the online experience is really good FOR A WII GAME.

it's inferior to gears of war or call of duty, so you shouldn't have been surprised when you didn't enjoy it

Metroid Prime 3 (or really the whole franchise minus hunters) is built completely around having an amazing single player experience. so even if it had multiplayer, it wouldnt be the best part of the game. last, when you compare the two, MP3 is just flat out much more professionally made. far less glitches, graphics are arguably better, and far less generic than the conduit. I know, you meant multiplayer in the review, but you made it sound like the whole game is better than MP3.

nice review, although you might want to rehearse so you wouldnt have to studder as much.

8.6/10 is pretty much where I would place the game too. its a solid game that is truly meant for the multiplayer. However, I STRONGLY disagree on this being better than Metroid Prime 3. First MP3 is a FPA (adventure) not FPS, the games have too much exploring to be considered an FPS. second, just because Metroid Prime 3 doesnt have multiplayer doesnt mean that another game that does is better.
