@TwinklesPussMaster61 Plastic is one thing, polymer is another. The real G36 is made of polymer, and there is a huge difference in external quality between the E1 and CA. In any case, I'd spend the extra on a CA before I bought a E1.

Not to mention, CA's come with 6.04 inner barrels stock, their polymer feels actually better than the grey Ares does, and the CA's weight is more evenly distributed. I've bought 4 CA G36 variants, 1 Ares, 1 JG, and 1 E1, I'm pretty sure I'd know which one is a better stock gun. However if you're looking to upgrade then Ares is the best IMO.

@Mendelevium146 It's a hi-cap. They work a lot differently than real firearm magazines plus BBs are MUCH smaller than 5.56 NATO rounds. Thus airsoft magazines can hold more than 10x the real ones can.

i have the echo 1 g36c, have had it for a year or two maybe now. let me tell you, it shoots STRAIGHT as a real bullet. Escpecially after a little hopup adjustment. I cant speak for the m4, but the g36 has some crazy precision, especially with a scope.

@mike780bringit FPS doesn't make up for how much you spend. A $400 Tokyo Marui shooting around 280FPS can out shoot a lot of other guns. So I would rather have a higher priced gun because in the long run it is going to last longer and you get your money's worth.

I love how people beleive velocity makes the gun 'better'.

It doesn't in any way other than getting your BB to the target faster.

I would personally prefer to have my bb actually 'hit' the target. There is only so much you can do to make a high velocity weapon shoot accurately, but with the extra speed and excessive backspin resulted by this with hopup your Bb will be turbulent and veer off course. Keeping guns stock aside from an upgraded barrel and hopup will benefit you more. CA is quality.

G36 defs if you play field, P90 if you play CQB (but it still has pinpoint accuracy up to about 40-60 feet)

I have an Echo 1 G36K and it still rocks CQB but has the longer barrel for those moments when you need to reach your target or pin him down from afar.

But either way make sure you get a backup battery (or a bigger capacity one) and a smart charger. This is from experience with a gun running out of juice in the middle of an intense firefight (NOT good...)

Believe it or not, the G36C and E90 (P90) have identical inner barrel lengths. So even though the E90 is a "CQB gun" it still performs just as well in a longer range situation (b/c of its bullpup design). Mine reaches to 150+ ft with plenty enough accuracy. Mine chrono'd at 360 fps with .25g bbs (supposedly 400fps with .2g, but I only use .25g)

The G36K has a longer inner barrel than those two, so it may be more accurate at longer ranges.

Actually, Echo1 took the JG G36 and upgraded it with a poly-carb piston, metal bearings (rather than plastic bushings) and shims, and a 6.03mm tight bore.

Echo1/JG are Marui compatible unlike the CA. so really its better to get the JG/Echo1 because you have more money to then use on better more plentiful replacement parts if/when it breaks. plus they're stronger, in the sense of FPS, and if your like me, which i'm sure no one is, you dont need that ROF. i personally never use auto, i'd much rather place my shot than spray and hope for the best, if you ever see me using auto take a pic cus it wont last long
