hi all whatz the problem of drinking? very bad. Im from the other side of the world in mauritius indian origin. song is wonderful. stop drinking and enjoy life, work hard and progress. mauritian culture!! best of luck! good vid.
@w33drus CHUTNEY is Trinidadian. Suriname, Guyana & Trinidad's Indian population (majority) came from the Bhojpuri regions of India (Uttar Pradesh, Bihar). Just as our culture has changed since our forefathers arrived in the West Indies & South America, the music has also. Suriname Indians were able to keep Bhojpuri/Hindustani Language and Culture alive. The music what they call "Local Classical" or "Taan" in T&T & Guyana and "Baithak Gana" is all d same...
...When mixed with Calypso/Soca rhythms it is transformed into Chutney Music. The first ever person to do that was Sundar Popo. I agree some of the music coming out of Trinidad are songs by Ramdew Chaitoe and Ramesh Chander Bihari of Suriname, but alot are songs that have been sung in Trinidad, Guyana & Suriname and have been shared for GENERATIONS between the indians through singing competitions between the 3 countries. Chutney is now the popular term as most of it is put to a...
...soca rhythm to appeal to a larger audience. I understand why you can have that misconception - it is a normal misconception. Doh dig no horrors. I only here to inform, educate and keep everyone entertained all at d same time. Bless...
Nice song, but who's song it is? I heard Kries, Anand, and Sundar alll singing it? But who brought it out first? lol Sundar Popo loooks drunk, or maybe just tired lol...Drunk or sobber he made good music lol
@kulibai31, it's true, I totally agree with you, I'm guyanese, grew up in Surinam and Aruba. We are all Indian, that's what's matter...same roots. Kries is from Surinam. I really adore Sundar Popo. Kries does look like he's hyper here, but great performance .
Its a song about a playful Lord Krishna playing Holi with the Gopis of Vrindavan - how he threw colour at them and ran...and how the colour stained up their clothes.... etc etc... u get the jist.
LMRH! Its nice fi hyeh dis maan sing again... but dat band always a slow doung dem saang dem. It soun much betta pan hi tape. But thanx fi put dis ting hyeh... braat bak memories a phagwah in de west indies :)
What is wrong with our fellow Indian/Desi people? So many idiot drunks out there. You'd think as smart as MOST of us are, we'd try to avoid an activity that leads to as many dead brain cells [&other people4that matter!] as drinking. Aren't there enough IDIOTS in the world?! Stupid sharabbi's.
He doh drink alcohol (fuh real...I met him...). He is a very religious person...is just he gets overpowered by the music and enjoys himself...doh know to dance, but he enjoys himself...lol
What the hell do you know? You give us Indo-Caribbeans a bad name, with your ULTRA-intelligent reply of "shut yuh skunt". It's obvious that you need to go out and GET some "skunt"...since that is your primarily functioning head. lol
