  • he has everything a superstar needs.... except a jump shot... oh and defense .. oh and pretty much everything!

  • man i love this guy and he is a vey good player...but you have to admit he is one of the NBA's biggest busts

  • See his little brother? Got busted for having loaded weapons at age 16

  • Welcome to the Phoenix Suns

  • @nando88 Yup, hopefully he's a good back up and learns from one of the best, Steve Nash.

  • 2:54 Are those concords on the telephone line?!?!?!?!?

  • @TheCking292 nah the sole has black on them..

  • 3:57... Swagg... girl didint even flinch hahah love this movie

  • what a huge draft bust.

  • my current cyo basketball coach coahced gim in high school cyo

  • Some one message me PLEASe the name of the song by jay-z that begins in the Video Please

  • @yugoforlife24 Moment of Clarity

  • I personally believe bassy can still be good in the nba to me he is one of the best passers in the league all he need to do is be determined and given a better role to show people what he can do.

  • espn's 30 for 30 prototype

  • I'll always love Bassy, but being real: he went for the money outta HS and missed, ultimately. I still think Steph should've hooked his little cuz and fam up with a little loan action on the side, provided Bassy attend Louisville. Dude was making $20+ mil a season at the time. SMH at this "tragedy" LOL.

  • @ManovSteelo Didn't Stephon Marbury pretty much abandon Sebastian Telfair, Jamel Thomas and everyone else from that part of his family after he turned pro?? S.Telfair even mentioned in this movie that S.Marbury stayed one floor above or below them in their building. I remember a magazine(Slam??) actually had a picture from around 1995 of S.Marbury and a very young S.Telfair standing together on a basketball court. Do S.Telfair and S.Marbury even speak to each other now?

  • yeah he has made over $ 15,000,000 in contracts, I just graduated with an accounting degree...i stand to make 50,000 a year out of school, .15% raise every year...it will take me roughly 26-27 years if I never changed jobs and took my 15% raise every year and the 15% is compounding, I took %15 of the new salary every year, which is a nice fucking pay for a job...he doin good

  • Was he got game actually filmed at the garden

  • @Gernadesmasher69 im from tucson too. i go to cdo keep an eye out for my name son ill be reppin us next year trust me

  • I don't hate on him for taking millions. I hate on him cause he fucking sucks. This movie is complete garbage cause he's nothing more than another scrub. He'll be back in the hood broke begging for spare change

  • Im all the way here in Tucson, Arizona and I wish we had someone rep Tucson like he did Brooklyn even if it was for a short time! Keep doing your thing Sebastian!

  • 2:07

ill bet my unborn children that bike was stolen

  • Sebastian Telfair's little brother(Ethan) shown beginning at the 5:55 mark was recently arrested in Brooklyn for gun possession and bribing a public official, he is now 16. A Lincoln teammate was also arrested with him, they had 3 loaded guns in a backpack. E.Telfair still lives in the Coney Island Projects!! S.Telfair actually said in this movie he was going to buy a house for his mom that had a swimming pool for his little brother and sister. It doesn't look like S.Telfair did that

  • @seeehorn

    r u serious ???? no fuckin way

  • @JW2K3 yeah, go to yahoo and type in 'Ethan Telfair Arrested', 10 links will come up talking about his arrest in May. I understand if Sebastian Telfair's advisers told him not to move his entire family out of the projects, but he at least should have moved his little brother Ethan out of there and not have him live in a place where he felt the need to carry guns in his backpack.

  • @seeehorn Actually, he did buy a pretty nice pad in the Portland area after he was drafted. His little brother, Ethan, and little sister are shown playing in a plus-olympic-sized pool with him -- and his old Lincoln HS teammates supposedly stop by the crib when they were in the NW for a tournament. So he did do it. Problem is, he got traded too many damn times, so I'm sure that house is long gone.

  • check out 2011 nfl draft nightmare

  • It's ok if you love basketball, but the problem here (and with many other inner city neighborhoods) is that ALL of these kids want to play in the NBA, and that just won't happen. When their hoop dreams die, then what?

  • cant hate on someone that tryin to give his family a better situation. no matter how much u get paid in the nba u still getting more more than any 9-5 job a year.

  • @DUNiT718 i agree man. it wouldve been nice to see him in college, but he had to get that paper to get his family out...........check this tho,if bassy went to louisville he wouldve been in that lousiville team that went to the final four and lost to illinois (d williams, dee brown, luther head etc.). imagine telfair with francisco garcia, taquan dean, ellis miles, juan palacios. deadly

  • @illflip

i agree i would of loved to see him shut down college basketball but hey everyone makes their own decision

  • Why folks dissin him he not a star but he is making a good salary playing a game he loves. If he budgets his money he won't have to ever work again. He makes about a million a year.

  • ethan is a good player now!

  • @akakebo lol not really hes no bassy at least but he got time to grow

  • @akakebo is gonna plauy college at a big school

  • god i remember seeing this 5 years ago on tnt, amazing documentary

  • honestly itz tha hardest for point guards to make tha leap. he shulda went 2 louisville

  • Dam...dude is a streetball legend....by this time...but, yea he shoulda went to college and elevate his game tho....but man...ya boy got talents...

  • Telfair rides the bench wherever he goes..thats his job...He is lucky to be in the NBA he should be out of the league by mid season

  • @fisherlibermannutsc Though he do ride the bench....the guy is a pretty good back-up point guard...he never had a chance to shine...

  • @fisherlibermannutsc

    @fisherlibermannutsc

just because someone rides the bench doesn't mean he's almost out of the league, hell even if you aren't in the nba, doesn't mean you can't make millions.

  • @zeejustin6 thats true he could easily go to the euro league they get paid alright over there

  • 5th time watching this documentry ....if theres a dvd fr this it shud sell alott

  • doesn't he play for boston now? He's been to several different teams and hasn't really been that succesful in his NBA career.

  • omggggg i loveeeeeeeeeeee sebastian he is sooooooo fine and so good!!!

  • what jay z song is this

  • Momment of Clarity

  • Momment of Clarity

  • his brothers a beast

  • everyone saying sebastian fucked up by not going to college he's made close to 12 million for being a bench warmer. his draft stock would've dropped had he been exposed at louisville. he took the guaranteed money, sure he aint a superstar but better an average nba player with millions than an average dude playing in europe making 50k a season.

  • Nuttin wrong with havin a 9 : 5, but I'm mos def feelin you on being broke and taking your fam outta of it. He had a shoe deal before even playin in the NBA!

What if he went to college and got hurt, his fam wudda still been in the hood. He can pay to go to any college he want now.

College ball is a great option for people who come from previledge families, but Why not make enough loot LEGALLY just by signing now. Great documentary. I wished they wudda showed more about his brother too.

  • im laughing at losers on here saying he should have walked away from millions. who do you know thats been poor their entire life would walk away from millions? or delay millions for that matter.

go play in college for free and help some school make millions? and your family is poor?

that college shit yall talking is dumb. he's getting millions to play the bench.

he basically an intern getting paid.

now get up for the dead end job losers!

  • @MrPhillyrick1 he should have went to college instead of the nba, he would have been bigger, stronger, and faster. I guareentee

  • @89Ryanhoward he would have been exposed in college. and you cant gaurantee anything. he made millions in the nba. telling a poor man to go to school when there's millions for the taking?

  • @89Ryanhoward exactly he wouldve developed and would have learned so much if he would have just waited the money wouldve came either way in fact he wouldve earned more

  • @OnlyGodisgreat

    tru..

  • @MrPhillyrick1 True that!

  • @MrPhillyrick1 he was a guy with high school experience playing amongst the big boys with college level training, the best coaches, etc and got pummeled. he definitely did not live up to the hype.

  • @MrPhillyrick1 word up son! it would have been selfish of him to think about going to college to grow as a player instead of taking the money to help his family. family first my dude, everything else is secondary! and its not even guaranteed he would have become a pro if he went to college.

  • What song is this ( in the intro) ?

  • this man should have went to college, good thing they changed the rule. It's great for college basketball

  • Hes good but not a superstar like Lebron or Kobe. The part where he says he just wants to play basketball all his life well thats sad cuz theres more to life than basketball. People from places like this (hood) dont know whats really going on in the world and all they care about is basketball because thats what america wants them to think. Its really sad

  • he sucks ass

instead of going pro he should have come to louisville

  • @hippopotomonstroses1 he did it to help his family

  • @artery44 well he shouldve gone to Louisville to help Louisville

  • 2:07

    stolen bike FTW

  • ethan made varsity this year hes like 5'2 and a feshamn o_0

  • yo Sebastian got madd handles and eveyone knows it. has anyone seen wht basketball video games make his handles. once u c it u'll say wtf

  • 2:53 Jordan XI's in the middle.lol

  • moment of clarity---Jay-z

  • Telfair is like 5'11, they just list him at like 6' or 6'1

  • whats the first song with jayz??

  • is 3:58-4:00 stage becuz that girl didnt even look like she blinked lol

  • whats that entrance song jay - z????

  • Moment of Clarity-The Black album

  • Brandon jennings is 5'11 size does not matter

  • he is 6'1 just like rondo but flynn is 6'0 and jennings got by at least two inches

  • Hahaha . he 6'1

  • hes 6'1

  • Brandon Jennings is 6'1 dude.

  • size does not matter

  • sebastian telfair is a beast but this nigga should've went to college. he would have been so much better in the nba. it sucks that he is struggling in the nba.

  • Nigga was so overrated. A 5'11 point guard who can't shoot is gonna be an elite NBA player? Ridiculous.

  • dude is so media hyped, unbelievable....

  • media hyped cuz of accomplishments of highschool scored most point in NY history but his size obviously slows him down in nba and height and weight but he's sick still cant hate he'll grow into his position

  • hes like a reggie bush... both were fucken amazing before they went pro... but i still love both of em, i still believe telfair will be amazing

  • Comment removed

  • @westt34 How you talkinn about tha saints on a basketball movie?

  • LOL wrong video LOL My Bad I was responding to a different video with that one My Bad LOL that shit is random

  • 12, 5, and 4 last night.... DO WORK Bassy

  • yea he aint that good in the nba

  • Hey Westt34, people fought racism. Many died regardless their skin colour because they believed everyone can enjoy dignity. The use of the N word to describe a black person is always derogative even when YOU say it. God bless!

  • okay people fought racism for the actions white people was facing son Im tired of you we shall overcome motherfuccas coming on here trying to preach 1st of I can say whatever i please to say you dont like it dont look at and my Grandfather marched and everything geting hose and dogs put on him the last thing he was worried about was a white person calling him a nigger all that shit that he went thru and you think saying the word nigga destroys that purpose

    Fall bacc My Nig

  • I don't think you'd get your grandfather's approval on that one. The use of the N word to describe a black person is derogative and rude. Because your grandfather suffered from racism, you should honour his memory by not using any racist expression. I'm sure he didn't use the N word. I'm sure he wanted his children and grandchildren to leave in peace, and have the same rights as others. Words are important. By using derogative words you don't respect yourself and allow others to do the same.

  • my grandfather is alive and cuz say nigga all the time and a bunch of old people say nigga just like i said its just a word and nothing you or anybody say is going to stop me from saying

if thats the case Nigga tell me the definition of a nigga my nigga you know so motherfuccing much whats the definition nigga yall al sharpton preaching niggas need to go somewhere with that shit the only thing wrong with are community is crooked judging ass niggas like YOU

  • The fact that a lot of people use this word doesn't make it less derogative. Don't be a sheep. I'm sure you've got imagination. Why don't you come up with something new that doesn't have any racist connotation? Something nice, not negative and not rude for a change. Do you have to be rude and aggressive to be cool? Can't you express yourself with decent, meaningful and appropriate words? Peace

  • nigga if you not on here to comment on something about sebastian telfair or this film why are you on this video leave it be nigga I say nigga Sebastian Telfair say nigga so leave it at that if you dont support it dont come on here preaching becuz you will hear nigga thru this whole movie so you tryin to talk me out of it is pointless Nigga

  • you think people was fighting for the right for white people to stop calling them niggers no they was fighting for voting rights and fair justice from the police system with all the shit my grandfather went thru the last thing on his mind was somebody calling him a nigger its just a word you dont die afterwards or nothing like i said you dont like it try not to look at my comment becuz you and nobody on this god given earth is going to tell me i cant say it

so like i said fall bacc NIGGA

  • i cannot stop watching this documentary this has to be the best opening in a documentary i mean come on got the Jay-Z Moment of Clarity I been a fan of sebastian Telfair ever since he Lebron Did that Cover of Slam in 02 It was just so crazy to me that this nigga just finished his freshmen year in High School and he was on the Cover of Slam Lebron just finished his Sophmore year but a freshmen and a 5'11 freshmen Im Like This nigga gotta be a monster on the floor and this movie proved it

  • Welomcome to my world "i cannot stop watching this documentary this has to be the best opening"

  • i know he was broke but whats 2 more years of having no money knowing u was going to be a bigger star in the nba for a long time and a higher draft rating

  • Elmaln are you really comparing Sebastian Telfair to Kobe you serious ?

  • i hope telfair does good this year but he ain't getthin lots of touches this year cause davis is goin 2 b runnin da point most of da game n da team is goin 2 hav a over hipe player name griffin. lets see how good is griffin playin with ppl like his size or bigger n stronger, no more college kidz leagues for griffin. lol

  • even if telfair did a one and done in college, that would of been good experience and get him out of the 04 draft which had larger players. Hope he does well with blake griffin dis year

  • i probably watched this movie 15-20times. telfair still the best no matter what he do in the nba

  • ahh sucks

  • Cause he didnt go to college that's why he isnt as good in the NBA

  • Maybe, that didn't stop Bryant though.

  • @younqwayne just cause you go to college doesnt mean you re gonna be a better player. he could have went to college and not went pro, you dont know what can happen to you in that time span. he made the right choice

  • @younqwayne very true 2 to 3 years in college and he would be unbelieve but too bad but he did need to support his family asap so i understand

  • @younqwayne umm is he one of the first point guards to come out of high school

  • @leftify the first actually

  • @younqwayne Kobe didn't go to college and he's the best in the world.

  • @younqwayne

Talent does not equal discipline. Kobe comes from a basketball family and understands nuances of the game given he was taught that from birth. You cannot learn that playing street ball.

Perhaps college would have helped, but we need to recognize young men born in poverty don't always have the discipline and patience to learn the professional game's subtleties. Him going to college wouldn't guarantee anything as his "end game" was a paycheck out of the hood...not greatness

  • @younqwayne lebron didnt either, nor kobe, nor KG ur rgument isnt really good

  • @Phillyballplaye Perhaps he is referring to the majority of basketballers, and not one-of-a-kind talented freaks like KB or LJ.

  • @ruinawish hmm maybe ur rite homie,

  • @younqwayne

he didnt go to college cuz he needed money for his brother and family

  • @younqwayne Are you talking about just Telfair? KG didn't go to college either. Same D.Howard...Kobe...Lebron.

  • @younqwayne does the same thing go with lebron bro

  • @younqwayne thats not true lol....just look at kg kb amare zach and others ...he wasn good in nba cause he isnt that good...

  • @Answer2phily

No I think Point Guards do well to go to college. KG was very athletic and tall. If anything Telfair had nothing but disavantages. You not the fastest player anymore when you in the NBA...especially outta high school.

  • What ever happen to Telfair

I don't here to much of him in the NBA

He needs to play hard like he plays in highschool , during the NBA

  • telfair is good in streetball but you dont hear about him much in the nba

  • nice video

  • This movie is great. He shud have went to Louiville

  • this movie is sick but he should have went to college

  • 7th time watching this from beginning

  • i love dis movie no matter what anybody could say he made he livein how most of us could only dream

  • this is an incredible documentary. one of the best ive ever seen

  • haha 2:07 i cant help but laugh..werid

  • To Be Real Itsz A VeRRy GoOd MoViE..HE ReAllY Do WhAt He HaD To Do...DatSz All It TakEsz....IM NeXt..

  • Yo! he cant even guard steve nash!

  • cause he is a two time mvp

  • nba bust. should of went to college

  • my favorite movie..

  • dats mah home town deff no his bro ethan

  • He is so talented, and he got his shot.

  • i feel sorry for the louisville fans, they had they "got bassy shirt, we do"....and he aint even go their lol, one woman named her dog after him

  • wats da song?!?

  • moment of clarity

    -Jay Z

  • Telfair got rich playing in college everybody knows that

  • he aint play in college

  • dude i was definitely joking about telfair playing in college

  • lol

well i can tell by readin it

    haga

  • what?he never played college,,

  • shoulda gone to college to be like some step curry

  • I beg to differ about going to "College". Do we say this about Bill Gates...no! Should musicans go get there degree in music before they go after their dream..no!There's about 420 people in the NBA if you have an opportunity to be one of them ..you go. Life is not about taking the safe route all the time. School will be always be there. The only people who want to see them stay in school are the people in love with college b-ball.

  • well he in the league

    he livin his dream

there is no such things as "if"..

    its just reality

yal dont kno what wud happen "if" he went to college. he could have gotten hurt and never play again

    no one knows.

but everyone knows he went 2 live his dream right after he graduated!

  • another example of GO TO COLLAGE KIDZ! not everyone is kobe, Lebron, KG, or T-MAC. if you're already good on a high school level, collage is only going to make you better, so what's the rush!? evey time i see telfair play, i feel sad for him because you see glimpse of how good he could have been if he had further developed in a environment that would allowed him to take it one step at a time. oh man...

  • some people have to take care of their children or take their family out the hood......basketball is a business

  • SOO tru

  • what is the jay z song at the beginning

  • If u think Telfair shooda went 2 louisville u dont no basketball telfair is dumb nice n da league plus it jus doesnt make life sense 2 pass up an oppoutunity 2 make millions of dollers and play professionally telfair is still young and if i remember correctly he jus went 4 30 & 10 so

  • i think telfair is a good player but why doesnt he get mentioned if he is dumb nice i think he lost focus

  • real talks he's not shit. i think he should of went to college

  • too bad he sucks

  • LOL...says the fan watching this video

  • how can u say he sucks..dude, he grew up in coney island and made his dream a reality..nt many ppl do that..plus hes better than ull ever be, take a hike hater

  • Look anyone that plays in the street is as good as telfair, he just has speed. No jumper. No moves. Just lay ups. In high school you can get it away with that, but being the ball hogger he is, in the NBA he is no where near good

  • dam u a hater

  • den how come u havnt made it to the nba?

  • he has made it to the nba

  • better than u

  • i come up there its whataeva

  • this shit got me so hyped up!!!!!!!!!

  • what a inspiring story, I'm gonna go practice now

  • Niggaz who expected him to do what he did in highschool in da league right away dont know shit about ball

  • He has the hardest transition from highschool to da league. because hes small, cant really shoot, cant play above the rim, so its gone take him a while to become a legit starter. He's still very good .. . its just going to take even more time .. point guard out of highschool to NBA is almost impossible to be successfull

  • i mean, telfair's not a bad player right now - he's not on a gud team, but his stats aren't bad right now and i saw him play - he's not a liability on his team

  • no doubt he was good in highschool, but he shoulda really gone to college

  • he was extremely overhyped coming out of high school

  • sebastian is extremely cocky thats his downfall
