African Amerircans are roughly 13-14% of the US population; More than 50% of the inmate population is comprised of African Americans; The unemployment rate for African Americans is about 16%, higher than any other demographic in the US. A white male with only a high school education has a better chance of obtaining a job than a black man with a college degree. Welcome to the Maafa of the 21st century.

Actually things will get better as demographics change in the U.S. America and its workforce is becomming more non white and male. So in order for companies to remain competative they will need to be open to hiring more non whites and women.

Some of the interviewees believed in networking of those not African American but didn't seem to gather networking channels of their own. This leaves reason to believe that some didn't pick the right major according to the job market predictions of the coming decade freshman year. There are groups outside of college that are major networking organizations according to field. Joining associations will be of aide for example NAACP, NUL, NBMBA's, BCA, NBPA and NABJ .

This video is discouraging and have not opened up any door of promise in being gainfully employed. There is nothing about programs that are available for college graduates that could work in AmeriCorp, Military Reserves and Education. All of the aforementioned are varied in fields and some guarantee employment. There is hope beyond the disparities of statistics.
