  • I have one question, does this work with satellite?

  • where is the set up mode button located

  • Can you connect the LF player wirelessly to the modem / router ?

  • where is the set upmode

  • 1 word FRUITYYYYYY! lol

  • do you have to have the cable cord connected to the box

  • "time shifting" "place shifting"

    sounds like physics terms.

    American marketing is just shameless.

  • Really? American marketing is shameless? Take a look at YOUR country's marketing and compare the two. I guess that's why we have all the cool stuff and you don't. lol

  • I am American.

I just think its funny how people create new phrases/vocabulary to promote or bash.

  • where did u buy sony locationfree player?and how much $ was it???

  • Does the Locationfree player base station work with the first psp fat?

I have it updated to software version 5.51

  • as long as your wi-fi chip isnt broken, it will work with any psp that has location free on it, and as i remember the fat has it. so as long as your wifi still works it should work

  • do you have to keep everything on

  • This may be a daft question, but you seem like you're someone who knows what they're talking about; would one of those LocationFree Players that are being sold exceptionally cheap on ebay like you mentioned, work over here in the UK? Or would the PAL/NTSC and connections etc make it impossible? Cos 20-odd pound for a LFP is mighty tempting!

  • rofl

  • man ive been looking for qa splitter

    where can i buy one?

  • awesome thanx!!!

  • i this in the uk too

  • Hey i have a question. ur cable is directly connectted to ur locationfree base station so it means u will only get a local channel. how about if i have a box for channel listings? you know like in comcast or cox. whatever u know. i can still see those channel?

if not its kool i want it for my psp

  • I would like to stream my standard analog cable thru the location free and right to the PSP without going thru the internet is this possible someone plz reply thanks I hook my cable right to my TV can this be done

  • Nice job!!!

  • 11:22 thats 16:9, and can you stream cable TV like standard analog cable thru the location free player and stream it directly to the PSP and not have to go thru the network and be able to change channels from the psp, meaning is the location free device cable ready if i can do that then im sold i can sit anywhere in the house and yard and watch tv

  • this video is great!!!

  • Hey, so can you connect to that LocationFree AP when your at a hotspot, or do you need to make different connections through the base station and the other wireless connections? I'm a bit confused...

  • Hi I would like to know what your upload speed is and what you need to use the player in a good quality?

  • Good effort, but you missed on a couple of things.

This should be a review, not a video user manual. As a whole it was useful, but with too many boring and un-needed parts (like when you spend several minutes on explaining minimize/resize/fullscreen). Other than that it was ok.

  • do you need a wireless router or all you need is the location free player and your psp ?

Where do you get one ?

    reply thanks

  • you can connect it wirelessly but the base has a Ethernet port so you can directly hook it up to the internet then after that you simply hook up your psp using an internet connection

  • im a complete newb at psp so dont bag me out but does this location free player make it so i can watch australian tv(i liv dere)on my psp and walk around my house and so on watching tv on my psp with no cords bothering me and my psp

  • Do you have standard cable hooked directly to the LocationFree? I thought you had to go through a Set Top Box. Also, How is the video quality when your playing it from a wifi hotspot?

  • nice shirt

  • Can you access location free player while on tv out on the psp slim? Please reply

  • can you hook this up to the tivo

  • also can u connect securty camras to it

  • is this sacure i dont want other ppl geting free tv off me

  • i like that speaker set thingy u placed ur PSP on, anyone know where i could get something like that?

  • best buy, circuit city

  • if you have a location free player like demonstrated, you have to connect it to the wall. how is that location free?

  • the tv signal is location free, and the thing that the device hooked up to the wall is the device that transmits the signal dumbass

  • shut the fuck up. i'm not a dumbass. i just was wondering, because i don't get my wifi over the world normally, so i was seeing if that allowed you to do that, or do you still just stay in range of the location free player? geez, u can't ask a question on youtube without being called a dumbass anymore.....

  • does the new psp slim have the locationfree preinstalled? pls tell me experts send me email thank you and in advance i thank you i appriciate the help

  • can u use this with tivo

  • i heard u can

  • i have a question the psp has to be firmaware 2.0 or it can be the lastest 3,51

  • LF-B1 - PSP firm v2.500 - LF-B1 firm v2.000

    LF-10/20 - PSP firm v2.81

Firm v2.70 and 2.80 for PSP causes issues with LocationFree and should not be used.

  • 2.0 and up

  • so i want to be able to watch it anywere without downloading it through my computer before i leave. so is this what it does can i have all this hooked up at my house in alabama and be in flordia with my psp and watch it?

  • yes. it sends the signal through wifi in its present location or you can access it from other parts of the world that supports wifi cuz you can access your home network from afar.

  • hey my friend has a location free player and i connected to it while i was at his house but when i get home i cant watch it? Anyone know why?

  • i'm looking into getting a location free device but i am wondering are you using the lf-pk1 or which model because the one you have looks easy to set up

  • nice review

  • hey, i have the same cable modem but a different router

  • can it work a dish net recever? and my brodband conection connects through the phone not cable will it still work? if it dose ill get it. my internet speed is 100mps is that enofe?

  • I bought this Sony Location Free Player a few months ago but could never get it to work outside my home also the ir blaster couldn't control my Direct TV reciever.

  • 1 thing is the whole thing running directly from the Free location (sony hardware) or does it run from the wireless router=?? thank you

  • I have a question about the LF-B10 it doesn't have a cable connection and I want to basically just have the base station hooked up to my tv in my room with s-video. I want to watch TV on my PC in the next room would I have to do anything with the IR Blaster that is included??? I'm really confused what that IR blaster is for. I know it's for a remote but isn't there on screen controls for the PC? any help would be great.

  • The ir blaster is only to point at the system that's plugged into the base so that when you want to change the channel or something this ir blaster shoots the signal to the device. You hit any button on the on screen remote and the base gets the instruction of what to do and makes the ir blaster do it

  • o yah last thing is that i wouldn't have the base by my router since my av equipment's no where near it so do you need to plug the ethernet directly or can you be completely wirelessy like just have to set it up to the tv or does that not work....sorry i'm confused and the site isn't too helpfull...

  • hey i could really use some help i use a mac with osx and i have a psp too. but something i've noticed with universal products is that they are difficult to set up and use on macs so i figured i'd ask if it's as simple as it sounds. and o yah i use direc tv so would it work with that. if anyone sees this and knows the answer please leave me a message :)

  • go to my profile and post a question if you have one. i might put on a video showing how I did it soon ( i might)

  • I need help setting up NetAV (TV on the go)

  • do u know how to get into your routers settings?

  • I need help setting up NetAV (TV on the go) . It works fine at home when its connected to the cable box.

  • u have to get into ur routers settings and type in the IP address of the base station and the port number (5021) in the port forwarding section. If you have anymore questions leave me a message in my profile

  • I finaly got the LocationFree thing and it was kinda hard to set it up, but it is awsome!! :)

  • Where do I get that chain you have on your psp? (I assume it is a memory card holder)

  • I have ordered the lfb10 from my local sony store on saturday. It should be here in a few days. I'm looking forward to enjoying wireless tv wherever there's wifi. I have only one question, what is that chain on your psp? Is it a memory card holder, and where would I get one?

  • Good Job. I have been thinking of going wireless instead of ethernet cable. My question is would you consider doing a Vid. On how to do it and what I need To Complete the process. I have a Wirless Modem Combo? Router (SpeedStream 6520 by SIEMENS = WIRELESS ADSL GATEWAY)and I am not using the feature CONT>
