  • Cool video!! He's doing a really good job! I just uploaded a little video of my Lamancha whether pulling my cousins and I around for a bit of fun, if anyone's interested, the video is titled " Goat pulling kids on sled" I need to get something like that!

  • I wish i had a goat ;(

  • cute! where did you get the wagon from?

  • @painthorselover101 It's actually a normal 4wheel wagon that you can get at any farm-like store, we just replaced the handle with the home made shafts

  • lol! How cute!

I'm trying to teach my goats how to drive, they can already pull. Do you use a bit?

  • @downtowngoats

    There are bits that are sold specifically for goats, I have one and do use it sometimes. It depends on your goat, if they are really headstrong a bit may be wise, but if they are sensitive you probably don't need one. Just be careful to not yank :}

  • @XxemohorseloverxX Thank you so much for your help!

  • As a kid, I trained a goat to pull a cart my dad built, what fun! They're smart and strong. Love the converted garden cart, though I wonder if the shafts should be longer? Looks pretty good for a first time pulling (I assume you did a lot of groundwork before hooking him up).

  • im might get goats soon!!! Im going to goat carting because my dog doesnt enjoy it.. He is an agility dog!! So pumped!! :)

  • @AgilityLover14 :D Get Siberians! Ok, or have the agility dog follow a goat cart ;) Even with the Siberians (in harness, pulling a rig), having someone on a bike for them to "chase" is fun. Maybe someone on a bike with treats. A lot of medium sized athletic dogs are great at mushing.

  • what do you use, a mini horse harness? :)

  • @Chut619 Actually it is a harness made for goats!!

  • Thank you for sharing this video... those carts don't pull easy, so the goat is in great condition in my opinion... I'm glad you are having fun and taking great care of your animals! Keep up the good work!

  • man i wish i could train my goats to do that

  • @careandsweet It's actually pretty simple, but it's better to start young. Look it up! I bet you can

  • KOOL ! now i wanna goat! , cept ima get like 4 to pull ! SO COOL!

  • @XxRisingVelocityxX haha thanks!!! Good luck finding some :]

  • Beautifull ! ! !

  • @paulpaulo

    Thanks!!

  • cool,I want to do the same with my sheep (bordder liecesters and suffolk) where did you get the harness?

  • @davetileguy we got it from a catolauge called Quality Llama Supply

  • Yeahhh Zonkers! Please add more video..awesome!

  • The whip is´nt made for hitting the animal, just to make noises. And i can see that he thinks it's rather heavy to pull you in the grass.

  • @Korvdoja

Yes it was heavy for him and we haven't done it since. He's a bit weak and needs conditioning. I only make contact on him with the whip when he doesn't respond to my voice and the noise of the whip. Obviously he's a bit numb and if he doesn't move if I hit him with the whip it isn't hurting him.

  • Ya cant eat a Chevy

  • I've never seen a goat pulling a cart!! It looks awesome! How did you get the harness/gear to the goat? Have you trained him to use a horse bit? x)

  • The harness is made for a goat, as well as the bit is made for a goat.

I started training him when he was about... 6 months maybe, probably less and he is now 2-3 years old. Good training is the key! Plus you need a willing goat

  • Ahaha that's awesome XD I love goats! Looks like a lot of fun :) maybe if you got a lighter cart it would be easier for him and you could go faster?

  • Maybe.. it's my friend's cart though, she just brought it over that day
