Hi, I am intend to build a 4 storey elevator simulation. The car elevator is suppose to run by using a dc motor with small weights. Also I am thinking to use proximity sens for level indication and steper motor for the door opens/closes. I am thinking to control it a microcontroller. I have a big problem regarding the design of the hardware and I have merely no idea where to start from, can anybody help me please?
our professor wants us to do an elevator kind of like your, but I dont know where to get the software and what kind of hardware did you use, is there a simpler way to do a similar elevator? please let me know as soon as possible. send me a message here on youtube if you can. thank you very much I appreciate it.
Very nice construction. I'm thinking to make something like yours, thats why i found this video. Even the doors are automatic! What kind of controller do you use (your laptop or a lift controller)? Your laptop's program remind me the Otis EMS system.
that is seriously neat. i had a shot at making a model lift but i didn't really have anywhere to build, because i was gonna try and make it pretty big. i still even have all the parts required to make one. i think (after watching this re-inspired me) ill have another shot, because i have some far better stuff than i did before. if it's successful ill take a vid of it :-) (wish me luck plz XD)

It used around 17-20 magnetic relays for this project

First of all......
You have to buy at least ten relays!!!!
Few push buttons...
If you use PLC in stead of relays...It much pretty easy and simple

the lift can work independly....
Used around fifteen relays in this project
