Yep, it's just about audience preferences. Shows like "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here" in America don't get higher ratings than Celebrity Apprentice or shows where celebrities act as the judges. Also, I find some of these Korean shows very entertaining but I wouldn't mind just seeing a reality show that follows DBSK around in their everyday lives. I can't really say that a show like FO is more real because some of it is actually scripted like variety shows.
