It's a crappy camera. If your gonna blow 200 dollars, get a real camera. Even if you are looking for compactness, you should try to find a better one because zoom pwns. The flip has digital zoom which lowers the quality the more you zoom in. And no digital zoom really isn't a very useful feature because all it does is stretches out your video. That like getting so close to a tv that you can see anything but pixels...

@hamsarb That and flip is just a production version of the cvs disposable cameras. If you're handy with a soldering gun and reasonably computer literate, you can add a USB plug to the CVS cams and download the videos yourself.
