Remember, every bird is an individual, so they may not actually fit the generalization.

Generally the Maxi Pi and the Blue Head are considered more quiet and friendly, whereas the White Cap, Dusky and Bronze Wing are considered more feisty.

My Blue head pionus cost $500 in 2005, the maxi-pionus cost $200 since the breeder knew me and it had feather issues on one of the wings. If you are going to get a parrot, I truly suggest that you get a hand fed baby from a reputable breeder. Funny thing is, it would have cost me more to get a parrot from a pet store.
