Its a very special place - very creative and very laid-back. People here work to live, unlike in NY where they live to work. Sometimes it just seems like a white upper middle class playground - its hard to tell what people actually do here for money (trustafarians, etc). But there are great parties, great events, and everything is way more reasonably priced than NYC! And in the end, it is a very diverse community - just depends on what you open your eyes to.

Too true, my friend. That is the one thing about SF - sometimes it is too self-centered in the creative department. We need to harness that energy and not throw it into building a soapbox for a giant corporate event!

Who are we kidding? S.F. has become a corporate playground for kids who make 100K a year at Google, and a creative ghost-town. The only thing the "creative department" bothers with are things that are funded by corps.
