Go look at all of the business he's brought to Mississippi since he took office (Paccar, Navistar, Eurocopter, and Toyota just to name a few). All of those businesses came here because of his reform of our legal business environment. He's probably the least embarrassing thing to come out of Mississippi in a long time. But obviously that's just my opinion. You are entitled to yours.

@awm9290 I am a Mississippian, and have rich cousins on the coast who are personal friends of Haley. I'm not judging him by his accent - I'm judging him by his deeds. He is a complete dirtbag and the only reason he has followers is because he pays lip service to religion. He has damaged this state both financially and image-wise. He funneled Katrina relief money into false businesses for his brother Jeppie and spent it building condos in areas not even touched by the hurricane. He's awful.

@callouschristian I'm from Mississippi and he is NOT a redneck. It's a joke. Just because his accent is strong does not mean he is a redneck. I have an accent and have a college degree. I still call myself a "mississippi redneck" as a joke all the time. People up north and out west have no clue about the south or southern people. They watch too much TV and believe we are all bible thumping rednecks. That's the way Hollywood portrays us.
