A very heartwarming sight. May be there is hope for humans.......yet. Such consideration should be shown towards all animals in cages. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all those who took part in giving the birds their freedom> Kudos to you.
many are involved in doing this and have been perfecting "soft release" hacking for some time ...such as in Tambopata Peru . there is a lot involved and no easy matter. I did field work for Dr Don Brightsmith and the one memory that is my greatest joy was meeting the famous "Chicos" who must be now about 20 years old and all with wild mates of their own. .. all have survived predation except one

If 10% of these birds learn to forage and survive by themselves it will be worth the effort. Much better than the euthanasia defended by some.
