So Congress must both “promote” and “provide for” the general Welfare. The Constitution is a socialist document.

This is 100% true. Every tax is hidden. Sales tax is taken automatically so you don't notice it. Gas tax is the same. income taxes are the same too. No one even really notices income taxes till they owe on a tax return. I would wager when you buy something from the store, 35% of the cost is you paying for some form of tax, regulation, or insurance.

Clinton just stripped a bunch of areas, defense mostly, and on paper showed a surplus. It did exist, but not in the way you think. This is 100% true. Every tax is hidden. Sales tax is taken automatically so you don't notice it. Gas tax is the same. income taxes are the same too. No one even really notices income taxes till they owe on a tax return. I would wager when you buy something from the store, 35% of the cost is you paying for some form of tax, regulation, or insurance.

I thought it would be ineffectual to try and explain the difference between reckless spending (the creation of new social programs that are expensive wastes of times that don't work and can't be gotten rid of for decades if at all) and defense spending (necessary for national security and maintaining high standard in the armed forces).
I'd think a better use of my time would be to explain the when to use there, their and they're but I feel even that is too complicated.

As this fighting has lessened in Iraq, Afghanistan suddenly appeared again all. And when the blood shed gets too low to be newsworthy, you'll hear nothing at. I've already said this once. The spending in Iraq and Afghanistan is a major reason for the defecit. And it is. But what you are saying is that it's so bad because of the tax cuts. Clinton just stripped a bunch of areas, defense mostly, and on paper showed a surplus. It did exist, but not in the way you think. He took money from areas where the next president would have to put it right back in. So, in reality, it never existed. It's one of the reason why we were close to a recession during 2001. First of all, what they teach in kindergarten and first grade isn't what they teach in high school. Two, Columbus never stepped foot in N. America and wasn't an American. Three, what does Thanksgiving have to do with anything? Christmas isn't accurate either, it's not even held in same season Christ was born. Also the harvest festival did take place but the first Thanksgiving didn't take place until much later, consisting mainly of prayer and praise to God for information of incoming supplies..
