I dont mean to be a poop. But I bought a RC plane and same thing happend. Nose into the ground. It broke bad and I trashed it. 120 bucks down the tubes. What I dont like is the cheap crap out of China. Under powered motors, poor tracking with ground take off's and the cheap foam construction. If they were made better they would fly better. Who has 120 to learn this lesson? I did so I pass it on to thoes who dont. Get an RC car or boat and learn controls on that first. Then move up..

Not even Nitroplanes recommends this for beginners. Too hard to launch, too big for most small fields, too easily damaged with a weak cabin area and tail boom. Get a Hobbyzone Champ beginners you'll be much happier!

Hey all, I had a question: So i received the flight simulator and an RC plane as a gift, and i was wondering how much harder it is to fly the actual plane rather then the simulator. I'm pretty decent at using the simulator but it seems that flying the actual thing will be much harder, any comments or sugestions?

Check out the hobbyking bixler. I crashed it with a gopro on it. All on video! And it is a beast of a plane! Cheaper too. It's on my channel from Saturday morning 10min fix and all better.

for all the begginers out there, go to hobbyking and look under begginer planes and click on the bixler. its basicly the same thing but it has a full range system so u can fly much farthur

@tadflip This is true. Go to hobbyking and look up the Bixler. It's a lot cheaper (about half the price at least if not cheaper) for the Bixler and shipping is also a lot cheaper!!!! The fuse is also a bit bigger in the front so you can put more stuff into it if your in to FPV flying.

LMAO, this has to be the worst plane for a beginner, and it's a pretty good choice is you feel like flushing money down the toilet. The plane is made from the cheapest foam available and don't be surprise if you break it in 1/2 the first day. You really want to learn how to fly RC? Buy a Parkzone Cub, not the mini one, the brushless. It might cost you $20 more but trust me it's worth it. By the way i only talk about things i have try.

@Ghostrider03Z Not true, My problem with the Hawk Sky is that they tell you the the prop is not going to break cause it's on the back and that's bull. Not only will the prop break but the motor mount is so cheap that it will come off and you will have a broken motor mount, Broken Engine, broken prop and the plane in 2 pieces. The cub you only have to worry about a $3 prop in you break it and i'll bet you 10 cent's you will break 10 props on a Hawk Sky before you break the 1 on the cub.

Get a Champ for a beginner and be flying in about an hour. Everything is in the box including batteries. Bon voyage.

I would recommend gluing the landing gear holder down securely because it comes off very easily. also reinforce the nose alot it smushes up after 1 crash and reinforce the tail with a carbon spar it has broken 3 times for me. LAST THING DO NOT OVER CHARGE YOUR BATTERY 4 HOURS IS ENOUGH if you charge your battery overnight the cells will charge unevenly and your cells will implode,destroying it... The battery is unreplaceable and do not but and use a higher voltage battery this will overheat and

@anthony3leaves No body really answers but I will. Get the Hawk Sky. It's better because it has a brushless motor instead of a brushed like the wild hawk. I've had the hawk sky for almost 5+ months, crashed it like 15 times or more and I just flew it half an hour ago... Cheers!

@TheMegaacidRain If you want to put a camera on it, buy a small camera. There are many websites that sell very small "spy" cameras. Find one you like and attach it to the plane. I use a spy pen, I use the top half, which is the camera part, I stand it up in the battery compartment (the cover has to stay off). I then use electrical tape to hold it in place....it makes the plane slightly nose heavy, but it still flies well.

@DRiguana72 the Hawksky and the Hawkfighter both have ailerons AND rudder control. The Hawkfighter is way faster and more nimble, but still good for a beginner- almost better for a beginner than the original Hawksky,because it responds quickly - so you'll actually MISS the tree instead of ALMOST missing it!

@beastlybob36 Hey I got this plane of couple of weeks ago and I have many issues with this plane I also got it to do FPV videos. I am having COG problems with it either too tail heavy or nose heavy or it is thrust vector problems not sure which yet still problem solving. Dave I must DISAGREE with you this plane is not worth it. I don't know if i just got a bad plane or what but as my experience goes it sucks

@DarkJet101 i think you may have just gotten a bad plane or do not have enough time on a simulator or experience with large rc planes. all other videos i have watched and reviews i have read say it is a great plane and flies great. sometimes you can get a defective plane. maybe just add weight to nose or tail till the cog is right

@beastlybob36 I know ive seen good videos but there are reviews that say it's not a good plane. I have had many problems with this plane. This is my first glider type plane i usually fly nitro fueled planes. This was my first and last purchase from nitroplanes.ive added weight to the nose it's either too much or not enough and it goes only right. or nose dives. someone also said it might be the thrust vector issue. the manual sucks not much detail with problem solving.
