Hi Nygel36 If I use A&H Xone 1D and DJM5000 (which is a midi controller mixer) via only 2 USB ports also without any external sound card like Audio4 or Audio8.
How can I use both Xone 1D and DJM5000 to be as midi controller (Xone 1D controls 4 decks and fx, DJM5000 controls mixer function. Please shed me some lights?
@SebassTheDJ I personally recommend the 1d and the audio8, but that is because I use the audio8 for more than just traktor. Some might say get the 2d to avoid having both, but I would hate to need to use the 2d anytime i wanted a soundcard. If i was looking at both in the store and money was not an issue, id go 1d + audio8
There was one weird dude who said he needed four Xone 1d's to control four decks. So he went and bought a Xone 3d and two Xone 1d's to make the full set. What's funny is his mixes still suck and the pictures of his setup look ridiculous with four TTs in them XD
Great midi mapping, I've been using it for a bit and it's very thought out. I do have one question. Pitch bend with the wheel on the 1d does not work for me for some reason. Yes I am holding down the shift2. And yes the wheel does work for all the other functions. Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to make overlays for mine, but i don't know where to start. I have the overlays for each side of my mixer, but I would like to know how to print them, cut them out, and have them fit correctly on my mixer. What are you using to cut them out with? What size paper are you using? It fits so perfectly on your 1D. Help me Please.
@OneCrazyDJ For the overlays i just printed on stock paper at a print shop, and then laminated it. After that came the painstaking process of cutting everything out with an exacto blade :( Download my overlay in the video description and edit it in photoshop to your liking. This is about the 4th overlay i have done because I always find something I want to change on the mapping :( Best of luck!
@voodoosr1 im not sure if it would becuase the 2d has a few extra features on it, but it would be worth a shot for a starting point. Try it out and let me know - in theory it might work since the 2d is just a 2d with an audio card built in - it still might have identical midi notes.

Yes, when i upgraded to 1.2.1 i had to remove a midi mapping for loop activate i believe. It was strange but you actually have to remove stuff and not add. Im going to be doing a new tsi for 1.2.1 pretty soon i hope, have a ton of gigs coming up so dont have time to mess up my current settings. Play around with it tho and you will be able to figure it out :)

Make sure you are on MIDI map 1 and not 2, an easy way to tell is if the bottom lights are all illuminated - if they arnt always on, then you are on map 2 and the top buttons wont work, change it to map 1 :)

yea all it is is a usb controller, so it really has nothing to do with the mixer at all.. can use it on anything since all it does is control your laptop

just plug 2 1d's into seperate usb slots. when you map out stuff in pro, it will just know what controller you are pressing and wala - peice of cake. it also has midi in/outs so you might be able to do it that way too, i am not sure
Wats up Been having a bit of trouble mapping my 1'ds if i map the knobs say for eq high on the right 1-d it will do it for them both,so when i turn the knob that i assigned for eq high down on the right side it also does it for the left!!!>:(

It just takes me back to the first cue point of the track or maybe I am just misunderstanding its function. I would like to use it as a mark cue point that I can store on the fly but maybe that is not how you have it mapped.....

yes, traktor uses cdj master pitch, and yes, you can also set the master tempo resolution from +-6%, +-10%, +-35, 50, or 100%, thus making it more in line with the 1kmk3's.
I have tried countless # of configs, and modified it to where i feel it works best for me. Thats the best part about midi - there is no right or wrong, just what works for you.

yes but remember the xone 1d is a midi controller so you will need a sound card fo rtraktor or what ever software youre using on your laptop....
So you can actually control 2 decks in traktor so you would have a total of 4 decks.....

1d's are between 250-350, depending on where you can find them. Its USB, so no soundcard needed.

issit true that after u switch to traktor using the cdj800 mk2..(Via TIMECODE) the pitch control becomes as good as the cdj 1000 mk3 ?
