the soul of david entered her daughters body..thats why she was singing the shelter song that david sang/wrote..when the reverend guy died, all the souls he consumed were set free but davids decided to wonder in her daughters body i guess.

@emilbiz my theory was that since the Reverand was killed, and hence could no longer act as the vessel to carry the "sheltered" ones, the little girl became the new vessel, the new "shelterer" if you will. Your theory is more humble :)
