  • Fairies sing their Lovesong to the Lindentree. And the magic of the tree gives Love and strength to their hearts.Could be possible.

  • @Polihymna

It is the tree of love and harmony (the german word "lindern" comes from the Lindentree)...I like the image of faires singing to the lindentree!!....I would understand....

  • Liebe Siggy, Du hast einen neuen Fan!... :-)

  • As far as I know this is a very old song, from a very old era, i am not sure when. The lyrics when translated are like this: Under the linden tree by the meadow, where our bed was, there you can find, beautifully broken, the flowers and the grass. Before the forest in a valley-- Tandaraday Beautifully sang the nightingale I came walking to the meadow, my friend had come there already before. There I was received, for that I am happy forever. Did he kiss me? At least A THOUSAND times..
  • @ishtiaquekhan12

Hello, this is my own song, and I guess it sounds "timeless" and the words are words without "real" meaning but express my feelings for my favourite tree, the linden tree ,but your words are beautiful, did you compose them yourself?

  • @SiggyStern my bad, no actually they are not my words. I thought this was a really old song that I had heard in my music class.. and this was the translation... anyway, nicely sung.. :D continue singing like this.. \m/ .. i am a fan :D

  • Habe dein Video mal mit dem nach oben gerichteten Daumen bewertet. Ich mag es und für schöne Kunst habe ich immer ein offenes Ohr.

  • Beautiful! Brings back memories of back home (Canada). We use to have linden trees growing wild in the woods, and we made the most lovely tea from the flowers. Very much like the tree’s energy, the tea is a very relaxing beverage! Cheers! :)

  • @blackcatspirit13

Yes I too so very much love the energy of this tree, it is my most favourite tree and it is a very healing and soothing tree....I have always felt connected to it................I like to see that other people also perceive this tree as I do (O:

  • @SiggyStern Tree magic is universal, no matter where you are from. :) Linden’s message is not only one of love and peace but of also one of hope, for when love fails, then there is no hope. Blessings!

  • So beautiful and soothing. I too feel drawn to the linden tree, perhaps in part because my first name means "lives by the linden valley." Thanks for posting this!

  • @lindenmeadow

If you feel drawn to it,than we have something in common (o:.......if I could choose my name I would be called Linden, for I just feel bonded to this tree...(o:

    Yours under the lindentree (o:

  • @SiggyStern Thanks! The linden is a beautiful tree, and Linden actually would make a good name. :-)

  • @SiggyStern Linden Tree was Slavic "pagan" one of the most important trees - Also was symbol of Karantania (where now live Austrians and Slovenians). It represented an unity of people, their root.

There were standing many Linden trees around Vienna (Dunaj) - and people used gather and talk there...

  • @SiggyStern I think our both countries need to plant many of these trees around our gardens and villages...

  • @VendPrekmurec

    I agree with you completely!!...

  • Thank you so much for sharing this! What a beautiful song, and how incredibly special that you sing it in your own language. I also have a special connection to a Linden tree and have a staff it gave to me to use for healing. What a blessed tree. Thank you for sharing your story and your song.

  • @bellspirit

the Lindentree is special to you too? would you tell me how? Or what do you feel about this tree (your connection)?? I would be very eager to know as there are not so many who share this bond........to me it is the tree that simply sings to me,I feel bonded to this tree like to no other tree, and many times it has given me healing!!!!

Yours in the spirit of the Lindentree

  • Wonderful piece - very inspirational. Thank you Siggy.

    Love

    Tara

  • @NamaSika

    Dear Tara,

the words are "my language" I call it the language of my soul....it comes from when I was a child there were many songs that I wanted to sing, but did not know the languages that they were sung in,so in time I just sang, what I felt within.I express more what I feel for something than trying to use "real" words. I am very happy that it could "touch" you, because it is a very special song to me....

Thank you for your very kind words!

  • Sweet!!! Looking forward to your next project. :-)

  • @SwietnyLew

Thank you Swietnylew (o:, it is in the making (o:

    Siggy

  • @movemelody1

it must have been something special to have such trees planted by your grandparents, how very beautiful!!!! I too am happy to have found another "fan" of the Lipa (o:

  • For the child I love linden tree, especially the ones two seated by grandmother and the grandfather.

I grew under a cover of their soft leaves, in the scent of flowers, for buzzing of bees.

Nicely to meet more enthusiasts for this tree.

    You have wonderful voice Siggi.

    Peaceful greetings to you (o:

    Siggy

  • Sehr schön vorgesungen, wie immer und dabei sehr beruhigend, genau wie das Geräusch eines Lindenbaumes. Es gefällt mir gut.

    A bientot (o: (o:

  • nicely put together Siggy , heard it a few times now and it's in my head now :]

  • You know in german a song that is "in your head" we call "ear worm" or we say "you have put a flee into my ear"......so sorry for the insects that I have given you (o:

  • its a nice insect though :]

  • hihihi! at first I did not understand ,but now I do (o:

  • I loved your story about your linden when you first told me about it, and I still do. your tree open a new respect for me in many ways. and a great anthology to.

like Philemon and Baucis. thx u

  • If we have not talked about it before Philemon and Baucis is one of my very very favourit antic stories, I like that even in those times the Lindentree was seen as the female equivalent of the oak tree....Did you know that through all cultures where trees were viewed as special the linden tree was always dedicated to female goddesses (and in the now many statues of the lady are made of linden tree wood too)and that oak was also in several ancient cultures viewed as the tree of male gods

  • PS: Thank you very much for your gift of this film again (o:....I like it so much that I "only" have to sing, and you make the film around it.....I am very happy that you have given me this present (o: (it was unexpected,as you know (o:)

  • Am glad you like.>:8) Grrr

  • Thank you (o: (o:

  • Nice Nice

  • Thank you (o:

  • you are so talented that few hundred years ago you'd be accused of witchcraft and undoubtedly burnt at stake. wonder what kind of wood they would use... linden?

  • omgh (o: (o:

  • One more time:

    beautiful movie:)

I hope this time there will be no accident...

  • I really hope so too (o: (o:
