Quit watching TV altogether. Read a book, or a newspaper.

i like keith olbermann's commentary, but i recognize that he's a sanctimonious talking head. my criteria for American hero is a bit higher than that. (though it's fair for you to wonder how that's possible given our current political climate)
first off, nice camera angles and panning to make it more effective in over dramatizing it. Secondly, everyone is preaching this hope a dope song and there is NO real plan of action. It's like saying "I'm going to have sex with a few hookers and HOPE I don't catch anything." I'm really for neither of these yahoos, but we must ask ourselves, are we willing to put our country in the hands of someone that has underlying agendas and such hate followers... as the huge liberal just said... "GOOD LUCK"
that's a pretty poor analogy. on a side note, has anyone else noticed that it's guys who don't get girls who are always first to use hookers in hypothetical examples?
In all honesty, you can call me what you will. But now that I've turned 18, I'm constantly praying that I'm not enlisted into the military. I've heard many stories of the horrors that Iraq, and I'm just not at the point that I could possibly desire to wish to be enlisted in the military. I love this nation, and there's almost nothing I wouldn't do for her, but I cannot possibly stomach the possibility of going to Iraq, just to die.
Call me unpatriotic, call me an Obama-bot, whatever.
...Call me unpatriotic, call me an Obama-bot, call me a liberal Anti-American if you want, but I'm being as honest as honest can be. There are plenty of people who can't even fathom honesty, let alone practice it.
Also, if fighting in a war is the only viable way to show your love for this nation, then I guess those who have never served, those who find other ways to try and express their patriotism through serving and sacrificing for their community are as Anti-American as can be.
I can't blame you for not wanting to go to Iraq. The Iraq war is not a just war. We were not attacked by Iraq. It was a war for profit, however if we are ever attacked by any nation it is our duty to defend our country. In self-defense only. Pre emptive war, like the Iraq war, is a crime against humanity, in my opinion.
don't worry; plenty of non-citizens are willing to go fight this war so they can get citizenship. on the other hand, since all our money is going to iraq, don't expect a decent job back home :-/

Well, you told me not to belive in terroists "hype". What was I supposed to think. I understand that we went into the war with good intentions. Should we still be there? No. Has Iraq improves? Yes. What about WTC attacks during the Clinton administration? Was there no warning then> To blame it onthe Bush government is not right. I have read about history and I'm enrolled in a college level world history class if that helps.
i believe the iraq war was to enrich defense contractors; iraq had nothing to do with 911. whether or not conditions have improved since we totally @#$%ed it up is irrelevant. people in iraq live in raw sewage thanks to our good intentions. stay in school and all that, but find other sources, too. i sometimes feel like the real education began after college graduation, when i started actually started to care enough to poke beneath the surface. like with watergate, you gotta follow the money.
oh and also (i'm not a fan of clinton), at least with the 93 bombing, law enforcement tracked down responsible parties and took them trial. clinton didn't use the first wtc bombing as a pretext for a totally unrelated war (unless you count the branch davidian raid in waco, i guess). a totally unrelated war that, in the case of iraq, gives LARGE sums of taxpayer money and future taxpayer money to folks who contributed to get bush/cheney elected in the first place. you *know* that ain't right.
I was just touching up on how you said it was the Bush Governments fault for the 9/11 occurences. Clinton had a warning so the blame can be heavily placed on them.
i dunno, dude...once again, i don't like defending clinton, but at least he had experts like richard clarke working for him rather than political appointees.
8 years of Clinton may have contributed to 9-11, but what's the excuse from that day on? How can we blame Clinton on the mishaps (there were many) that happened that day from the administration, and the 8 years of reaction afterwards? Bush had warnings, according to C. Rice and R. Clarke. Yet every part of goverment intelligence failed that day, right down to the 4 airport's security procedures. Not to mention a breakdown in communication between government agencies. No Insane McSame in 09.
"There's a difference between being a veteran and supporting veterans as a politician. He's just counting on people not being able to tell the difference. "
John McCain might get elected. There are a lot of people in this country who hate 'liberals'. We have to win this one. We can redeem ourselves in the global community if Obama wins, but McCain represents the end of the United States as we know it---This I guarantee.
Slam McCain Why not Slam Obama for his voting record and comments If you are going do this do it evenly they are both Sentors and both are running for President.
Article (2): 1st — Islam is the official religion of the state and is a basic source of legislation:
(a) No law can be passed that contradicts the undisputed rules of Islam.
Article (3): Iraq is part of the Islamic world and its Arab people are part of the Arab nation.
Because Obama doesn't support the new Iraq Constitution, but McCain does. What has happened to the Christians that live in Iraq? Where is the freedom and democracy?
It's all about trust and It's about who you belive. I voted in all 6 president elections
that I could and voted who I thought were the best and voted Dem/Rep/Indep.
On records alone McCain Wins in my opinion. But first thing anybody should do is to Vote and to be involed. And don't lisen to one side, like Keith because the only thing he cares about is ratings.
Funny how people can see things so different. I'm tired of having a stupid president. Obama graduated at the top of his Harvard Class and taught contitutional law at the University level. If the constitution were actually followed, we would be a lot better off. I don't believe McCain has read the constitution. Bush certainly hasn't. Also, Obama's background, poor single mother, struggling to put himself through college and paying back college loans, was very much like my own.
And just one more thing. Being a veteran myself, I know that it was difficult to be a POW, but that doesn't give you an automatic pass to the White House. Perhaps if everyone googled "McCain and EADS" or "McCain and lobbyists" or "McCain against veterans benefits (too expensive)",they wouldn know him better. This man walked around an Iraq market using a 150 American soldiers as human shields simply for a "photo op". Maybe he wouldn't have done that ten years ago, but that WAS ten years ago.
Regardless of your affiliation, the evidence remains that McCain has taken a mixed position on the war. While he used to be a maverick, he has sold out his independence for the Rep ticket. I used to admire McCain for his ability to cross the party line. This campaign has removed all doubt that the old McCain is gone, and the 'do anything' for votes McCain is here to stay.
Wow, well said Keith! It's funny how as time goes by how you can tend to forget what someone says or what someones position is on the issues and start liking what someone is saying about some situation today forgeting where they stood on the same situation a few months ago let alone a few years ago. The way Olbermann put Mccain's quotes together from 2002 till present was beautiful. And from the looks of things, he sure isn't gonna be doing our troops any favors.

Well he won't win NY... I'll see to that!!! lol.. But I know REAL Obama troopers who actually call people in other states and talk them into voting Obama. I only text and buy pins. I give out pins too. I guy 2 of every pin I like from the site, and give out the 2nd. I do my part :) Beating Hillary was a difficult fight because I didn't want to go against her, but now that its against this asshole? I'm all over it!

I'm a girl... In fact, I'm a girl that gave out the last of one of my really cute small white Obama pins to my friend's HOT guy friend who gave me a ride home. He likes the pin and promises to vote Obama!! I'm drunk, but we had fun. I saw live comedy, shopped for dresses, danced and drank too much, and now I'm checking email and rambling. Almost wannna go dance some more, there is a party across the street where they were playing Jay-Z. Pray for me.
