  • DuckinSpace is correct - this is the 1932 march oganised by the National Unemployed Workers' Movement, which regularly organized such marches through the 1920s and 1930s. Notice how tghe newsreel company have blocked out the NUWM name on the banners and make no specific reference to the movement. The government was terrified that the Communist-organized NUWM would have influence at a time of mass unemployment.

  • 100% not Jarrow March. Jarrow Crusade was October 1936 and to the houses of Parliament and 207 men + Ellen Wilkinson took part.

    This is most probably the NUWM hunger march against means testing. That was in Oct 1932 to Hyde Park and there was violence.
