Farmers around here are too busy making money from industrial type farming, the villagers are too stuck up to do sweet f.a which involves any effort or self sufficiency so that leaves the rabbits and squirrels to ME !
Pass a torch over the little buggers after you skin them to remove hair. Same thing when you process your own deer, a little torch action does the trick, also try pressure canning squirrel, they come out tender and tasty.
This is not a farmer's wife - these are townies who eat frozen pre-packed foods, and couldn't actually kill anything, but would rather starve.
This gives such a bad impression of us Brits. I have never eaten squirrel but they are a nuisance (although cute) and probably taste like rabbit (which OMG have fur too!) nice try but sad for Farmer's weekly!

I have a Squirrel as a pet, had him for 3 years now. You people are sick! Do you cook up your Dogs and Cats too? Sick Sick Sick! Go to the store and BUY FOOD!
@ciaoamica hahahahah were just taking care of buisness Squirell are one of the top contributers to house fires worldwide they are also considered FUCKING RODENTS
I take it you are using diced sweet potato there, looking at that carotene colour of it. Not quite from the same family of your average solarium spud!
Wild game is awesome if cooked right. Game is free range, organic, no anti biotics or growth hormones and if shot, it is more humane than a slaughter house. Good for you for trying new meats. Hair in meat is a drag...just need to clean really well. Nice video.
Hair? Next time just give it a simple rinse under the tap. Gamey? Some people suggest soaking wild geese in apple juice overnight, to rid it of gameiness. But I wouldn't know how that approach would work for Squirrel.
She certainly stirs the wild beast within

Squirrels are eaten regularly in Cambodia, check out video F6C5zRG1SS4
freaking awesome.
Fried, broiled , baked, breaded, in hot sauce, curry sauce, brazed, barbecued, boiled
,over an open fire without skinning.
Tasty, taste just like black rat from Cambodia, only more hairy

to fix the fur issue, get the squirrel wet before you "clean" it and to get rid of the game taste soak it over night in salt water.
