I remember the nude relays at SC High in 1966. I believe that's when they started.

I remember as a twelve year old, having a Racer jump into our volkswagon stationwagon at Burton Park and asking my mom Shirley DeWree to drive him up to Site10. One of my coolest family memories. Great video.

my god! was just stumbling around and found this. I graduated in 72 and was at the relays. I remember Randy and Jim and particularly Tom Mason. He and I shared many a brew back then. Thanks for the memories!! Tom Vannucci

I grew up in the neighborhood that now sits on the land that used to be the campus and I was wondering if you had any other vids/pictures of the school or know where I could find any? It's really interesting to see what used to be on top of the place you grew up in. From what I'm told, my house was on what used to be the softball field. Any sources or links would be appreciated! I went to White Oaks School! It's sad to see that this tradition has died off. It probably went with San Carlos High after it got demolished.

I was the official starter in 1971. The first year girls ran and people were too drunk to understand why I kept calling false starts. DUH!

Brilliant and well produced video! The shame of it all is that the City of San Carlos California officials were too stupid to obstinately fight to keep this high school open, or at the very least to hold onto the freakin' land. Short sighted to the tenth power.
