Well, to be fair, I know a Scientologist who was on Valium for awhile, but it was because she was having back problems. Valium, aside from being an anxiolytic, is also a muscle relaxant. But I don't think she was getting any services while she was on the Valium. I also know of Scientologists who take care of elderly people with dementia, and who (ironically) give these elderly people lorazepam/Ativan. So, in spite of their stance on psychiatry, there are still some inconsistencies.

Every Scientologist knows that Scientology is against psych drugs, but not against the medical treatment of physical conditions. There is anti-seizure medicine that does not affect the mind in any way, even if Depakote might not be one of these. But Tommy Davis did not talk about Depakote. There is no policy that would forbid a Scientologist to use this medication, when it does not interfere with your mind. Tommy Davis did not lie.
In the same interview he claimed that Dianetics and Scientology doesn't involve itself with physical and medical illness. Anyone who has read Dianetics knows this is incorrect.

I personally know of Scientologists who were told by their auditors to stop taking their epilepsy drugs and they did. Epilepsy is nowhere near as dangerous as psych drug poisons.

Well, to be fair, I know a Scientologist who was on Valium for awhile, but it was because she was having back problems. Valium, aside from being an anxiolytic, is also a muscle relaxant. But I don't think she was getting any services while she was on the Valium. I also know of Scientologists who take care of elderly people with dementia, and who (ironically) give these elderly people lorazepam/Ativan. So, in spite of their stance on psychiatry, there are still some inconsistencies.

1 epilipsy is VERY dangerous i suffer from it and almost died during my last seizure, i use DEPAKOTE (or epilim chrono as it is known here in uk for epilepsy it still uses the name depakote in the psychriatic field) to control my sezures and without it id be dead, the links you have provided are biased as they are controlled by scientology and are wrong psychs as you call them do not create drugs pharmacists do and neither did they create the term epilepsy i emplore you to learn the truth

I have, and it doesn't take a lot of "looking into." People want answers to their existential questions, and their own uncertainty will often cause them to believe someone claiming to have those answers (in Scientology's case, this peddling of answers is combined with brainwashing techniques to greatly increase effectiveness). What people fear is the idea that we are mortal, material, and generally insignificant on a cosmic scale.

This is pretty huge. Think about some of the other things Tommy lies about in interviews. He's just there to deny things in Scientology which may not sit right with the public, even if he has to lie about it. Is this how to handle a PR flap?
He does the same thing with critics of Scientology, making them look like terrorists and extreme bigots, but he's only following orders. People have fabricated bomb threats and death threats to try to frame critics, but it only ended up backfiring.

Now you begin to see what is going on. We don't care what you believe. It's the criminals like Davis and Miscaivage who run the show who are the problem. Brave people like yourself are the beginning of a revolution and reform in Scientology. Surely there are others like yourself inside who are seeing the problems as well. Seek them out and stand up to the OSA and corrupt management.

Tommy Davis is the worst spokesman ever for Scn. He said the same thing on the two interviews I have watched, so it's clearly a rehearsed answer.
About the Travoltas: I don't know if they really gave Depakote to Jett or if it was just a way to cover their asses in the public eye, much like Tommy Davis is trying to do for Scn in this video.

Every Scientologist knows that Scientology is against psych drugs, but not against the medical treatment of physical conditions. There is anti-seizure medicine that does not affect the mind in any way, even if Depakote might not be one of these. But Tommy Davis did not talk about Depakote. There is no policy that would forbid a Scientologist to use this medication, when it does not interfere with your mind. Tommy Davis did not lie.

In the same interview he claimed that Dianetics and Scientology doesn't involve itself with physical and medical illness. Anyone who has read Dianetics knows this is incorrect.
If you actually think that what Tommy Davis said is true then I find it hard to believe you are a Scientologist. I have seen that the tech works and I am not ashamed of it. Are you?

I personally know of Scientologists who were told by their auditors to stop taking their epilepsy drugs and they did. Epilepsy is nowhere near as dangerous as psych drug poisons.
So don't talk to me about what is standard procedure.

While epilepsy in many cases like grand mal seizures certainly is an ailment that must be treated with anti-convulsive medicine and not Dianetics, I love how OSA now struggles to keep their own members, that were taught otherwise, in check to not ruin Scientology's image in public.

I have not committed any crime. Tommy Davis has insulted Dianetics and Scientology on national television and he is promoting the use of psych drugs. The only criminals are Tommy Davis and the people in upper management who allowed him to say those things

What I meant is that your decision to critise COB publicly, will be frowned upon and many will consider it against KSW. They couldn't be more wrong in my book. KSW is NOT blindly following COB. Girls who get pregnant in the Sea Org are given two options:
a) Abort 'voluntarily' the pregnancy
b) Get fired
If you decide option (b) they will bill you for the full price of all services done while on staff usually 50.000-300.000$ Your husband will be pressured to divorce you, so that he can remain on staff. Your friends will disconnect from you.
WHY? Kids are a distraction for staff and expensive to the organizations.

If you are talking about abortion specifically, then yes I have to agree that abortion is a very suppressive act. LRH was very clear about abortion. In Dianetics he explains how attempted abortion is a major source of engrams.
But in the Sea Org, children are not allowed, I think I have seen the HCO PL.

but if so claims to be a religious order,shouldn't they be made to follow the same teachings as taught to everyone just in a lets say stronger manner. like in Christianity, nuns are not allowed to have sex. that is one way to stop pregnancies. they could also distribute condoms like the army did.there are other and less dangerious ways to handle things.

Every staff must sign a promissory note before starting any service stating he will pay it full price in case of staff break covenant. Services are mandatory. It's not uncommon for SeaOrg members (whose contract is 1 billion years)to be offloaded or leave after 10-20 years of work and billed 50.000-300.000$ for services taken. Basic SeaOrg pay is 50$/week not always given. This bill is a deterrent for people who whish to leave. They are not allowed back in Scientology until the bill is paid.

I loved Scientology too for more than 20 years; did my Bridge, had my wins, and I have been declared because I refused to bent my personal integrity to the will of current management. If you start looking at the pain produced by CoS with enforced disconnections, enforced abortions in the Sea Org, alterations of the Tech, maybe you will still love Scientology but you will certaintly cease to support a rotten, totalitarian 'church'.

ILOVESCIENTOLOGY, it can't be easy for you to have seen what is happening in Scientology management. If you receive any repercussions from them for asking these questions, please know that there are plenty of people outside Scientology who will support you - without trying to tell you what to believe.
