HL, that was a 5" ball-shell header, and if I recall correctly, it had 24 vertical motors which were 3/4" ID endburner motors with ferro-titanium in them.
Yes, it is... Starts of kind of slow and pretty, and just when folks start thinking it won't fly, it takes off like a rocket, and the crowd really gets into it.. Then the unexpected large shell header really caps off the display..
Girandolas combine ground, rocket, and aerial effects, and for the work involved they produce a good long display.
