  • Pino Palladino is one of coolest bass player ever. Look at him in this video, refused the spotlight.

  • David does make every note count. He knows when to "rest" and let the note carry it's weight !

  • True genius. He knows what to do and what not to do which is the name of the game! In my opinion, this is the greatest song Gilmour has ever written. Also I, as a guitarist, believe that this song is very much like the song Keep Talking from the Division Bell album (1994). If you listen to the studio versions of these two songs (Keep Talking and Sorrow) right after each other, it gives you the same feeling in both pieces. The emphasis he puts in his vocal and guitar skills in these two songs ar

  • Stunning performance! David is an inspiration to so many people.

  • By far my best song by David Gilmour. I love the lyrics and this performance the best. But Comfortably Numb is definately 2nd best.

  • At 0:27, he's kinda pouting...

  • davids notes are as personal to him as the listner

  • What does THE MASTER do at 2:14 ? How does he make that sound ?

  • LOve Dave;s facial expressions and how calm he is ..HE IS GOD

  • No importa cual sea la marca de la guitarra, el color o como se vistan sino el nombre del gutarrista y su habilidad y éste es el mejor.

Gracias David Gilmour por ese talento y esa magia

  • (Pure Music!).10^?

    Tricky ending though :-P

    Fucking great artist

  • In reference to the high pitched rake,at 2;15 make sure your you have a lot of gain on the amp, and a volume pedal may help rake the strings above the nut, with your other hand dip the tremello (whamy) bar at the same time, but don't dive bomb you'll kill the sustain lol!

  • This is hands down the best version of this song. I know it lacks Nick Mason and Rick Wright, but the guitar tone he has here is ungodly awesome. Only Mr. David Gilmour could come up with such a tone.

  • lol 1:36 to 1:45, look at all the bald heads

  • This concert is amazing but Pulse's sounds are the best

  • Did anyone do better than this?

Dave made Floyd his superior guitar, vocals need I say more?

  • how does he do that high pitched sound on 2:15? I can't find out

  • @merryphonic It's simple. He just picks the string after it's passed the nut.I did that too on my guitar.Unplugged,it sounds almost like a piano. But i think you need some serious gain before you can hear it real good.

  • Stupendo!!!!!

  • Stupendo!!!!!

  • What a GREAT gitar God this is ! I love players like Beck Clapton and Whoever....Buttttttttttttttt GiLmore is just a SpeciaL player....RIGHT ON GUITARIST singer

  • Also, I love seeing those HIWATT's behind Dave. I wish I could afford one.

  • Looks like the drummer came in late. Maybe its just me. Dave had a little of that WTF look at about 2:19.

  • How many people can say they have three legendary guitars? Most Floyd fans know of the Red Strat show here. Then there is the awesome Black Strat, which has a book written about its history by Phil Taylor (Daves guitar tech). Fender also makes replicas if you have 4 grand. Thats the most expensive replica I know of besides the SRV guitar, which goes for 25 grand. and last but not least, Dave has the first serialized strat. He is my favorite player.

  • Yep, plus the guitar strap he uses on the black strat belonged to Jimi Hendrix. He also has a Bill Lewis custom 24 fret that is one of a kind, Lewis has passed. Not to mention the Martin D-35 and the D-18!

  • @GilmourTrueHD and he has one of the most complex rigs ive ever seen, i mean he has backup pedals for his lead pedals my god, his p.u.l.s.e rig would cost over 30 grand to duplicate. One of the greatest guitarist of all time. Long live Sir. David Gilmour and Pink Floyd

  • @150peacemaker One of the reasons I love Gilmour's playing so much is he has never worried about playing a lot of notes, but he always makes every note he does play sound awesome and unique.

  • @150peacemaker The Pink Floyd Experience are doing a tour where they're replicating the entire PULSE show, right down to the stage, and the mirror ball in Comfortably Numb, so imagine how much that's costing them.

  • @150peacemaker I feel his music in my SOUL. Plain and simple. It's as if he can communicate and speak through every note.

  • @GilmourTrueHD I have to admit i'm honoured to own a Relic Black Strat, she cost me £3100 (and i had it at a good price) and i'll never part with her (yes, the tone is absolutely BANG ON, especially when i try the Live 8 set or Coming Back To Life from Strat Pack). There are replica Signature strats gone for a lot more, one of the highest of which was Clapton's Blackie which also went for £20-£22,000 and were limited run of 275 (Custom Shop's first Signature strat).

  • @holomatrix It's a fantastic guitar, one of the few sig guitars that the upgrades are actually worth the extra price. Would love to own one.

  • @apage251 friggin sick comment mate. dave is the badest of the bad boys, jedi on the six string , he would be last badboy sound i would want to hear. i would die a happy man . master of the frets, the only man that has ever found the g. spot . gilmour the dogs fucking bollocks. i hope he out lives me , could not live with out him. ninja jedi kung fu , geezer on guitar , not bad on sax and drums either. got stuff on my chanel , check it out.

  • David Gilmour effectively describes orgasmic pleasure through the expressions on his guitar, and his hauntingly beautiful voice is the 'afterglow'. I need a cigarette, and I don't even smoke...lol! ☮in☮out1

  • Pointing out the typo would have been more constructive, but whatever works I guess...thanks.

  • * * * * * * * 7 stars !!!

  • It amazes me how much feeling goes into his music even after all these years, the MAN is truly a living legend. peace&love

  • Thank you for this video

  • I retract my prior comments about this not being a powerful version of Sorrow. It IS a powerful version. Gilmour can't sit up there and create super drawn out solos with each performance and just because the ending is different than the versions he performed with Floyd does NOT take away from the beauty of this performance. (:

  • DAVID GILMOURE, are you MUSICIAN or MAGICIAN?

This is magic, art, joy, metaphysics,...

  • His guitar expressions are priceless, the tone the whole 9 yards. He sure came a long way since the beginning, I never tire of his playing. :)

  • Thank you, thank you for making my day.

  • Glad you enjoyed it!

  • thank you for your channel

    i love you man!!!!! :X

  • Thanks soricku !

  • Ow by the way love the look on the secondary guitarist's face at 5.30 (not manzenera) . It's priceless. It's like 'WTF!? How is he doing that??!!!' hahah

  • David gets that reaction a lot, I saw David Crosby giving the same look on stage while Gilmour was playing.

  • Gilmour is a GOD!!!! Love it, have the dvd :)

  • grate

  • nice to see and great to listen. Thanks D.

  • Yes it is, thanks for commenting!
