  • Kid Charlemagne! I was looking for Blackface sound clips for the exact purpose of getting a Steely Dan sound and yours was the first video I clicked on. That's so great.

  • I've been restoring a 1966 head. The electronics are complete. Now working on the cabinets.

    Sounds great man!

  • nice...steely dan. Tone for days!

  • In 1968 I played lead in a band thru 2 Showman tops and 6 homemade bottoms, 6 - 12's, 6 - 15's, the bass player had the same setup, we each had three bottoms on opposite sides of the stage...the best time of my life...then I was drafted into the army...from heaven to hell...thanks for the sweet tone reminder !

  • I never liked the sound of a Fender pushed with any pedal but a clean boost.

  • This amp is now available for sale again.

  • thicklushafunktastic!!

  • Now that's versatile, both amp and guitarist totally rock!!!

  • Want to sell it?

  • @vgw1971 yeah, it's back up for sale. send me a message if interested.

  • how much is it?

  • that sound is just so good, i like it, well the guitar playing is good too

  • i have an all original 65 showman with the oversized cab. are they spose to break up like none other when they are fully cranked. with my les paul it just screams

  • great demo. I had the same model for my keyboards back in the early 80's. You should have heard the Clavinet through this amp with 2 JBL D130's. Wish I didn't sell it.

  • How much headroom are on these? Love the tone but usually just play clean tones

  • it sounds like marshall growl at the beginning

  • Comment removed

  • That clean tone is fantastic...I want one to A/B with my Marshall

  • I want a marshall to A/B with my showman!

  • That things Got TONE TO THE BONE. what cab & speakers are you playing through ? Even over the computer it sounds good. BTW, keeping it was a good choice.

  • I played it through a Bogner oversized 2x12 with one Vintage 30 and one Classic Lead 80. Thanks for the comment!!

  • which song is it at 4.07

  • Cat Scratch Fever by Ted Nugent

  • hello, are you still considering selling this amplifier?

  • No, not at the moment.

  • Nice Larry Carlton tone....

  • Great sounding amp!

  • Sounds amazing. How much was it sold for? Was it an Ebay auction?

  • I tried selling it through Craigslist but no one was interested so I kept it.

  • They are gems for live use, great for recording too, wonderful pedal partners, beautiful cleans also for home use... I honestly can't think of a disadvantage, except the fact that you must find a decent cabinet.

I would hold on to it if I were you. I also want to sell an amp that I have (financial and practical reasons), and a big part of me will go with it.

  • Would you ever consider doing a trade?

  • i suppose its alredy sold... is it?

  • No, I kept it.

  • i have exactly the same amp and i plugged myself into the first input of the normal channel and I ran a cable from the second input of the normal channel to the first input of the vibrato channel. It gives you lot more gain. I cranked at 10 both volume and it gave me a really nice overdriven sound!

  • Hey what a great idea! Thanks!!!

  • nice amp man i got a 69 silver faced bassman

  • sounds wicked

  • Just finished a Point to Point Conversion on my Deluxe Reverb...A Master's Degreed Electronic Engineer (FENDER GURU) Austin, Texas that knows his shit did the work. He installed a HEYBOER SUPER REVERB UPGRADE OUT-PUT TRANNY on this Amp and the Bass is to DIE FOR! Mid Boost, Presence & Bright Switch, Reverb Dwell mounted in rear pannel. KILLER!

  • that fab tone slays. i must have one.

  • Is that gain at 2:54 from the Fabtone? That sounds amazing.

  • Yeah, that's the Fabtone. Brutal pedal.

  • This is a fantastic example of the miles of clean headroom and fantastic bottom end that only a Showman can give you. It takes pedals really well too.

  • Great tones man. I loved the Extreme riffs.

    (Dean Forum)

  • Hendrix Played them before he got into Marshalls

  • whatever you playin, great tone, sounds kinda marshall plexi like, but yep, marshall came from fender.great tone.

  • Man, this amp fuckin' roars! They don't make'em like this anymore.

  • My dad's got one of these, great amps. They're hard to find in good condition, I guess that's a reason why they're so pricey.

  • I own a 63' blond version. It rules. Showmans fuckin' rock.

  • Hi, Might be interested, do you still got it? If yes is it still $600 +shipping (BTW how much to france?)

  • Had a showman many years ago, could get a perfect Cream sound out of it. $600 is reasonable--these are getting some very high dollars these days!

  • damnnnnn.. u can get some crazy gain out of that thing.. it sounds great

  • Actually, the gain is coming from an Ibanez TS-10 and a Danelectro Fabtone. But this amp is the perfect clean tone for overdrive and distortion pedals.

  • how much$?

  • $600 + shipping
