Thanks for posting this commercial. I was in art school when this played during the superbowl and went on to do a study of him. Best commercial of the night and if it wasn't for a recent basement cleaning on 2/27/2009 I would have never come up with is name again and found my portfolio about him. Just curious as to the Cingular backing on this other than just paying to give the world a chance to see a man that can do when the world might not want to see it. Inspiring. Period.
wow.... i just watched the Chile cabin video.... don't i feel like a putz for the post just below this one.... Indeed, i could remove it, and feel better about myself for the rest of the day,... but then i wouldn't have learned a damn thing..... thank you Dena. thank you dan.... and please know that my reference to 'King Gimp' was solely out of admiration. -paul-
Absolutely thee most shocking, pausing, and life reflecting moment i've ever seen, on television, or in real life. I remember the room i was in had about 30 people all staring at the TV in complete silence and jaws dropped; It was quite humbling to see when just 12 seconds prior to seeing the commercial, everybody in the room was stuffing their faces, drinking beer, and cheering over a football game (of which, the outcome wasn't going to effect any of us). Long live King Gimp! you'da man Dan!
You look great in this video. I like the Pikneyville Middle School one as well. Thanks again Dan.
