In regards to the earlier comment about drinking gatorade or oral rehydration salts like pedialyte: this is great if the child has had diarrhea only, but if they have been vomiting, DON'T give them anything like that. Plain water or very weak cordial or juice only, the salts in gatorade etc will make them vomit more. Just FYI people.
Kids won't blow their nose because tissues hurt! My nephew loves Boogie Wipes, they're pre-moistened saline wipes and they smell great. He asks for them by name!
We've had parents writing in to dadlabs since we released this video swearing that honey works on coughs for kids over 2 (don't give honey to a baby -- very bad), and that Vicks Vapo-rub really helps. Passing that along.
Vicks definitely works. But it stinks up the entire house. Haven't tried the honey thing, though. Seems so old school. Thanks for another great episode.
omg... is that really mucus? That's gotta be from just one kid, right? Cause seriously, that's not a lot for a day.
Lysol spray like someone mentioned is good, but some with asthma can't stand the chemicals from that kind of stuff. Instead, I recommend anti-bacterial wipes (check the ingredients to get ones that don't contain harsh chemicals), or anti-bacterial hand sanitizer for quicker handwashing that doesn't require touching anything to do it.
i knew this guy that used to say the creepiest thing when his kids got him sick. He'd say, "it's like having a piece of them with me while they're away."
awsome episode guys. washing your hands over and over and over does help but once they already have the cold you need to invest in some lysol spray for all your door handles and garbage cans. also washing there bedding often while they are sick will help to kick there cold in the butt faster.
i like this its nice and funny
