Very unusual to see a Vespiquen, they're quite difficult to use correctly, and this is certainly a great use of the Bee Queen. Kudos on a great battle! :)
@ZGuy0fSci Some would argue that Roost is a really good option since roost gets rids of the flying type for that turn. So it can take the sting off of rock/ice/electric type attacks. Vespiquen lacks the speed to make use of roost and its flying type removal.
LOL your vespiquen is awesome a great wall =).....but a taunter can counter your vespiquen with her movepool =(...but good battle....VESPIQUEN RULEZ....XD
It's great that you want to be unique with your Vespiquen, but you have some serious flaws in strategy. The only way Vespiquen can use Destiny Bond effectively is through Trick Room support or the held item Quick Claw(1 out of 5 chance each turn) that you can move first. Your choice of Toxic is fine, but you should replace Protect with an attack move, namely Attack Order. If you take my advice on Trick Room or Quick Claw, then replace Heal Order with Roost.
Oh yeah, his strategy is so flawed that he defeated the opponent's Pokemon. :P
There are many ways of using a Pokemon, and if this works for him, it works for him.
Personally I agree that DB isn't the best move on Vespiquen; I'd replace it with A-Order but keep Protect for stalling purposes (Protect+Pressure=win). As for Roost vs Heal Order, it's a matter of choice, really. I prefer Roost.
"Oh yeah, his strategy is so flawed that he defeated the opponent's Pokemon" Epic win lol.
I put DB on there at the last minute, but the reason I have it on is to either sacrifice or force a switchout. After using DB, I would use toxic to try and poison the switch-in or use heal order to recover my HP. A big part of my strategy with Vespiquen is the pressure on strong mvoes with little PeePee.
@godzgift2010: Heal Order heals the pokemon by up to 50%. Roost heals the pokemon by up to 50%, BUT the pokemon loses his flight ability for this round.
Thats what the attack descriptions say to me. Or am I wrong?
Yes when roosting the Pokemon is only its first type, and therefore is susceptible to ground attacks but loses the flying weaknesses for a turn if it goes first.
your vespiquen was made solely for defense not many trainers do that they all just care about all out power when at the end strategy and wits win the battle kudos
Duskull is good, but it's HP is just too low...it doesn't even have 100 HP at level 50. Evolve it into Dusclops at least like I did...that way you still are original for using an NFE Pokemon.
I believe he did EV train, because Feraligatr did a decent amount of damage to Vespiquen, since my Vespiquen has max def and HP EVs and very high EVs in those two stats as well.
Yeah, that's the first and only Vespiquen I'll ever use because most of the movepools for it are kinda boring and not too effective, but I think my movepool mixes things up a bit.
Hahaha, and yeah, I only sped up those parts to fit the 10 minute limit and ended up humoring myself and other people. LOL indirect mission accomplished!
I do too, and I'm a fan of the Pokemon from Generations 1 and 2. I also like Giratina, Shaymin (Land Forme), Rotom (original form, not the appliance forms), Jirachi, Sharpedo, and Sableye.
I personally thought Gen 2 Pokemon were kind of lame in general. Personally, Gen 4 has the most Pokemon that I enjoy using, and there are a lot from Gen 3 too.
Generation 2 had a few pointless Pokemon and not too many strong ones, like Stantler, Murkrow, Wobbuffet, Dunsparce, etc, but that generation did lead to some of the awesome evolutions in Gen 4, like Gliscor and Weavile. Gen 3 was decent...I like the starters.
I'm a big fan of water types, which is why I'm so partial to the 3rd gen. And as DarkTwilight mentioned, gen 2 had a lot of mediocre Pokemon/fodder and a lot of really really OU Pokemon like Blissey, Skarmory, and Tyranitar. I personally just like a lot of the 3rd and 4th gen Pokemon, especially the 4th gen evolutions. It's just my personal preferences; I don't think any of the Pokemon are particularly bad or anything.
I also love Vespiquen, despite it being so easy to counter her. I wonder if she would've fared any better (in terms of her weaknesses) if she'd been bug/rock instead of bug/flying. At least she wouldn't lose half her HP to stealth rocks (which I personally think is a very unbalanced move and needs to be adjusted for the next generation).
Yeah, just a spikes that hits flying types. The way it is now, it severely hinders some already underused types (bug, rock, and ice) and makes types that are already too prevalent even more useful (ground, steel, fighting).
Yeah...so no one will want to use Beedrill or Butterfree or Ilumise etc because of the unfair type coverage of stealth rock, but it is a double edged sword since OUs like Ninjask and Yanmega get owned by SR.
That was awesome! If I get a DS,I need Vespiquen. It's,uh, very interesting, and is one pokemon that I would like to use a lot! Also, I agreed with your narrations.
Lmao, thanks. And that narration was actually in real time. Unfortunately I don't have a microphone, but I may invest in one when I go back to battling this Winter.
Agreed, but my Vespiquen is relaxed nature, so it outspeeds very little, making the half turn loss of the flying type useless. Stealth Rock sucks, but it's good trade-off if you think about how many Yanmega sweeps are spammed.
Wow, that was certainly something. But an Infernape with no Fire moves? I also thought that Mightyena could have ruined you, as I had expected the Taunt-Sucker Punch combo. If Vespiquent gets Taunted, you'd have to switch to someone else.
Yeah, you're probably right. I did admit in the video info that I did get lucky because of that fact. If Vespiquen did in fact get taunted I would switch because struggle really hurts in backlash. Still a surprising sweep nonetheless.
Lol, dude I know that. That's why i asked you to register me. I had registered your FC but it told me "awaiting registration", which means you didn't input my FC yet.
P.S. I never fought you as Lucas. "I'm just gonna run away like a little pussy!" XD
That's gotta be it, but I added your most recent FC on your channel. I think the best solution would be to just respond to this comment with your most recent FC. Damn Nintendo!
whoah i didnt know you can talk that fast lol. Ever considered being an announcer at Belmont? Well to answer your question i think pokemon die by fainting too much, idk. Nice sweep, i once swept a whole team (6 pokes) with a Skarmory (moves: Spikes, Stealth rock, Roost, and Whirlwind). it was a 6-0 sweep, no attacks ftw!
It sounds like you are saying "Cocksix!"
