  • Your blues style sort of reminds me of Jeff Healey.. Amazing! Keep up the good work mate.

  • nice

  • Well done. I know you were into the song. So for the faces you made while you were playing your forgiven. Good job. I love good blues.

  • holy crap that was awesome!!!!

  • Get rid of the Monday Blues!

  • nice

  • very nice range of styles, you borrowed artistically from a lot of people. I would get in a band or start one, and work on singing, this is good talent that should be shared man, check my channel for some blues

  • Awesome !!!

  • I've been listening to this on a loop for half an hour now. You've got the soul in it, and that pinch harmonic at the end sounds like the cherry on top of the cake.

Good stuff dude, hope you're getting out there in a band and putting these sounds on a stage.

    Cheers

  • You're pretty doggone good!

Though on this particular song IMHO I'd get rid of the wah and go for something a lot closer to:

search on youtube: STORMY MONDAY (Michael Bloomfield) by roby62gtr

    just my opinion! Cheers

  • one word....beast!

  • Nice work!

  • beautiful...

  • gibson... não prescisa nem comentar; :P

  • WOW!!! Dude, you truly have a gift! I can only hope to be half that good in 5 yrs. Keep on rockin' it brother!

  • i asked my dad to listen to this with his eyes closed. at the end, i asked him who he thought it was. he answers..."thats definitley slash..." enough said.

  • wow.... thank you! :))

  • you have some serious blues power my friend!

  • Brilliant playing dude - truely stunning.

  • Wow man, Very good playing and you sound a little like Hendrix.

  • I LOVE Blues!

  • awesome stuff man!

  • jeah nicht schlecht.

    wie lang spielste denn schon?

  • das video is zwei jahre alt, damals war ich 5 jahre im business ;)

  • aw it got really sweet when you backed up off the gain and kicked it on the neck

  • thanks!! :)

  • Great Sound, Great Great Sound that SG...

  • excellent man...great playing

  • Toll gespielt und finde den sound sehr gut mit der SG!

  • I just can't stand SG's playing blues... You did great, aewsome technique, but i just can't hear...SG... playing... blues

  • Well Hendrix thought they pretty cool... I agree with you though, he can play the blues!! makes my hairs stand up.. Freddy U got soul bro

    Peace

  • agreed

  • Dude,... you've got it! Very pentitonic, but it works. Rock on Brotha!

    Steve

  • very nice!!

  • Great job man! You rock!

  • yes man

    yuo blues !

  • this is really good, really good. has that real blues feeling that alot of these stuped little kids won't ever have

  • thank you! :D

  • @Ronneh117 Woah woah woah slow down. Stupid little kids?

  • im a blues player but ii want to get the tone of jimi hendrixes voodoo chile blues and the jimmy page tone

  • you are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! great feeling great tone...dont listen to those who just want leave negative comments. i mean listen to 'have you ever loved a woman' by eric clapton..its quite similar. once again great work!

  • Dude, some badass playing there! Nice work!

  • you're awesome.

  • I liked alot of the playing. you've got a nice style, however, it seems that at some parts, you left the feeling aside and just went for alot of notes. Sometimes an explosion of notes can be a great way to add a certain bit of Inteisty to your playing, to the song really. In this case, I dunno if it was because you had no backing band, or because it felt overused,

  • it didn't sit very well for me. however, you should be very proud of yourself for being able to play so well, and kudos on throwing yourself out there by posting a vid!

  • Excellent! Five stars for the performance and feeling!

  • good i just don't like it when guitarists on youtube, cringe their face when they hit a high note or stand back and bend over, it's a little exadgerating.

  • unless its unintentional and their just feeling the music then thats fine and dandy

  • yeah, but some it depends on the tempo on the music as well, thats quite slow in parts, so sometimes it looks a little off.

  • its just their feeling

  • i know but there is a certain tempo which it looks good.

  • yeah, guess you're right.

  • I see your point to though.

  • nice. now this is good and real

  • can't you hear the same style of playing in voodoo chile?

  • Your technique is clean and your expression is agony but I'm unsure if you are trying to sound like something else. Have you listened to T-Bone Walkers performance of this song here on youtube? He composed this song. Very stylistic.

Your playing is good though, Have you written any of your own?

  • yeah, watch my "dancing with the dwarves"-solo on youtube, i wrote it myself. thanks dude!

  • wow that sounds alot like SRV. good job

  • damn ur good, keep it up bro.

  • Wow you're awesome. This is one of my favorite blues... I mean Stormy Monday :)

The gibson SG is defintly a great guitar to play the blues!!

  • you got the licks, but the older blues players will tell you that its the licks that you leave out that count.you dont have to go thru all of youre ammo to make a statement, just enough to let the song fly.

  • Excellent playing bro! I just purchased a 2006 SG standard becuase of you and Derek Trucks! I think Derek uses a 61 re-issue. How is your SG doing? Keep up the excellent playing! So much soul!

  • nice playing but no need for mimics man. blues is about feeling yeah but thats a lot for this type of playing

  • fantastic!great sound !nice SG :) 5 stars!

  • Great playing! You definitely have it. I just started taking guitar lessons and would like to know how long you have been playing to get up to this level of play. How do I try to start to learn Stormy Monday and the picking that you perform so masterfully? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks again...and this is one classic masterful blues tune that I think every guitarist would like to master. Thanks again! Tim

  • I think the best way to learn the blues is to sit down, take a nice blues backing, listen to the greats and play and play and play all over again - learninng by doing. But it takes a while.

    Thank you btw!

  • Excellent job, dude. your playing really impresses me

  • thank you :)

  • I know dude! You definatley weren' t faking! didn't mean for you to take it the wrong way.

    -Steve-

  • yeah, I already mentioned it, i took your comment wrong, sorry for that ^^

so thanks, I'm glad you like my fiddling! :)

  • awesome

  • Great feel man! Nice SG

    5 STARS!

  • Your a damn good player. Its easier to play something yourself, than try to fake it. I know! Not sure why your catching so much crap on your other songs.. I think they're just jealous!

    -Steve- \m/

  • @steev1978: thanks dude! :)

  • now that was good i like it :)

  • why are you playing the ame damn licks as you did as the last video i watched of yours?

  • erm... because I ain't got no other licks ;)

What video do you mean exactly?

  • Yeah dude, i make faces when i play. its no big deal. it's actualy more fun to watch.

  • dont be sorry for no faces:D thats the true blues face/playing

  • Excellent sound and feel ;)

  • u r not faking. u r really good, keep up the good work.

  • thanks!! :)

  • I lost track of this song a long time ago. With your video which is great I had a DeJa-Vu.

  • thats cool! thank you!

  • Now thats good..

  • amp?

  • as written several times before, its a Marshall AVT 100

  • Amazing. Loved it. Wish I could express myself the way you can.

  • dont worry bout your face...its just your passion...

  • fuk yeah man

  • Fantastic man, whatever you do get out and gig with some other blues players, with talent like that you will get somewhere.

  • Thanks man, but I wouldn't like playing in a blues band, when I'm on stage I just want to rock! I'm playin' in a hard rock band called KISS OF DYNAMITE... watch out for this one! ^^

  • right on

  • where did you get that backing track? did you make it?

  • yeah, i just recorded it on my old tapedeck

  • hey man, just started a new channel,NOTHIN`BUT THE BLUES,you should be right on top, send you some of my stuff, regards bluespower

  • keep the faith, like the tone!who are your heroes?regards bluespower,(still playin the devils music at51)love to see young guns playin the blues, respect dude!!

  • Ha, thanks! My heroes are Angus Young, Nuno Bettencourt and of course the great Stevie Ray!

  • That was quite good. The post below was correct, you have the timing down and really have a feel for the groove. Good tone as well. Keep it up.

  • As far as this kind of playing goes, you are one of the best players i have ever seen. You seem to have all aspects of playing pretty much perfected. Key, Timing, speed and FEELING!! you are young too!! a bright future me thinks. Have fun with it!

  • Wow, thank you!!!! :)

  • That's an amazing solo, straight from the heart; none of that shit-for-brains shred crap. Class!

  • There's an ugly face on all parts :P jp.

I'm glad to see slow blues, Im tired of the shredding crap on youtube

  • Awesome playing!

  • nice..very nice.

  • i'm curious what amp and effects are you using? cause thats some good sounding shit man!

  • As you can read several pages ago he uses a 2003 Gibson SG, a Crybaby Wah and a Marshall AVT Combo. Nothing special...except fingers ^^.

    Regards

    OneStone

  • boa krass

  • thats some hot shit right there!

  • schöne Sache

  • if this isn't a five, I don't know what is.

  • GOOD N TASTY.

  • Hallo junger Typ,

Mein einziges^^

Was ich damals zum Convertieren genommen hab, keine Ahnung :D

  • talented guy, the wah's not my taste tho.

    Jo, das issn Crybaby Wah.

  • I love it, super man, Who plays this version of this song..??

  • Me! :D

  • But is it Stevie ray Vaughn???? Who... lets say, gave the inspiration

  • Oh. Well, when I was really into all this blues stuff a lot of influence came from SRV of course. I just love this guy. A bit of Gary Moore, too... but I always tried to develope my own style.

  • you look like gary moore, keep the blues alive, nice one

  • I look like gary moore?? :( This dude is ugly like hell... well... oh, youre right :D
