I wonder if they put a human girl in there and bones said " please lad, m-my co captain is in there, you got to help her...." and she sort if walked out of the ship and stood there for a moment, then started to fall over cause she must be injured an he ran and caught her.... And then carried her almost then half dragged bones to his place. And we know bones died but then let her live and she goes with Jim and delbert on the journey!

I'm glad they didn't put the first bit in, it makes Jim look...merciless, I guess is the word, and throughout the whole movie you do see a few positive traits in him; that he's smart, generally good-hearted, and a bit DOWN-hearted from missing his dad. It must have been I guess three years..if his dad left when he was twelve.

Doppler actually says that. Unfortunately, they had to cut that line out. The scene played turned out differently and that may be why they cut it out of the final version.

Hm...I didn't know about this - but I like that it gave Sarah more screen time and a chance to really express what she was thinking.  I like the depiction of Jim from the final version, though - this one makes him out to be a bit of a jerk at first.

They actually wanted Jim to be seen as more of a rebellious teen at first with problems. I feel that some of the deleted scenes they had better conveyed that.
