  • A VERY POTTER MOOSICAL.

  • i love how a comment that said eww ginny weasly had so many negative votes that they removed it:)

  • Ok, Hayley, you are AMAZING!!!! I have been watching your videos all day, and you are awesomely nerd-tastic and absolutely hilarious <3 I found you through Charlie's song, and at first I was a little jealous because Charlie wrote a song about you and all, but after I watched one video of yours I was hooked! You have brightened my day and made me laugh, so thanks for being awesome :)

PS: I subbed, obviously! You have a new #1 fan :)

  • NaNoWriMo horror stories you ask?

I have failed. Writing isn't fun anymore, and I'm more of a song writer/ poet than a novel writer.

I reached 5570 words and don't have the patience/time/desire to finish.

I might try again in a year or two, but for now, it's "hasta lavista, NaNo!"

  • when i write i always think my on eof my characters should die at the end but when i get to the end i find out I JUST CAN'T WIRTE A DEATH SCENCE VERY WELL........this frustrates me.......alot

  • OMG!!!!! AVPM!!!! Hayley just became my favorite!!!!

  • that doesnt apply to all this :')

  • my time as a redhead was spent doing a Lily impression where i yelled at my guyfriend and told him i would rather date the giant squid than him in the courtyard at our school.

  • Last year (when this video was posted) I won for the first time and bragged nonstop. This year, Wrockstock happened.

  • I got so frustrated with the characters i made that i killed them all. Which is very sad, seeing as they were based off real people.

  • theres no rfkc in Canada. =(

  • I didn't finish NaNoWriMo but it's because I'm going by the Mayan calender so I have about 6 more years.

  • I will lose NaNoWriMo because of 3 main reasons:

    1. Facebook

    2. I just started reading Harry Potter (I'm on the fifth one) (It's fantastic) (like you didn't know that...)

    3. Youtube

  • Yeah.... I only got like one week of nanowrimo and then I came up with all these excuses ummm YouTube for example

  • thts guud i am in foster care

  • AVPM <3

  • in all honesty hayley .... i was your friend on nanowrimo last year and intent to be this year!! my nanowrimo messed up because my grandad dies on the 4th..... but i was happier because i still beat you!!!! :D 12756 words baby!!!! YEAH

  • I FINISHED NANOWRIMO! I'M BETTER. Kidding. It sucks, your 11 thousand something (right?) was probably better than my 50005

  • I'm attempting nanowrimo for the first time this year...so I have no fail or win stories...

  • haha i didn't finish NaNoWriMo either.. lol

  • AVPM!

  • i have yellow rain boots

  • Ginny Weasley impression<3

  • am i the only one that commented about the awesome AVPM reference?

    no?

    okay.

  • Your sister made you a PENENE?

  • I lost NaNoWriMo....by 4000 words. :| So basically if I had budgeted my time SLIGHTLY better, I would have been fine.

  • i didn't finish because my brother got re-diagnosed there i said it! i got to 20,000 words, so i am putting it off until next year and have 70,000 words so technically ill have 50,000 and 20,000 from last year.

  • I didn't finish NaNoWriMo because i broke up w/ my boyfriend, && a week later got a new one.

My boyfriend didn't finish NaNoWriMo because he broke up w/ his girlfriend && got me.

    11.15.09<3

  • "That doesn't apply to all things"- made me laugh aloud:-)

  • I was rewriting my book from last nanowrimo, and ended up cutting a lot of stuff that didnt make sense. T.T the whole book was finished at about 9,300 words...I wish i was joking.

  • you are soooo funny!!!

  • I lost NaNoWriMo because the site I post my writing on closed, and there was another reason but I can't actually remember it, but I pretty much lost all inspiration, and only recently started writing again. :(

  • Well, this video seems to be ample evidence that HaleyHoover is immensely attractive and has great content (viz., Royal Family Kid's Camp). Way To Go.

  • If you can't tell I'm still kind of bitter about that

  • I failled nanowrimo due to spending 5 days of it hunched over a toilet puking and my computer deleting 4.573 words.

  • thanx 2 your link i discovered the awesome starkidpotter and a very potter musical:)

  • hi miss hayley this is ali from rfck

  • ur hair is pretty

tho ur hair pink was god

  • o.o Do you get your nails done...or do you do them yourself??

I looove your nails...in every one of your videos...

    They're so pretty!

    I love you as a blond, too...=]

  • hah! it's always the people who lose those writing competition things that end up living in huge mansions oneday with various best-sellers...

don't ask me why... life is weird

  • I lost NaNoWriMo because I had to pack all my stuff because I was moving Foster homes, so my desktop was packed, and my brother had lent me his Laptop for October, and had said he would lend it to me for November as well. Then, a week in, he took his laptop BACK, "for the weekend" he said. Yeah, that weekend lasted until the end of November, successfully managing to cause me to fail NaNoWriMo.

Yep. You gotta love Moving homes, and brothers. Really. I'm not bitter at all.

    Nope. Not me.

    siiiigh.

  • I lost Nanowrimo because of a stupid 5,805 words left. I made up my book of short stories and totally fell into a writers block in the last week. Second year I lose and I HATE IT.

  • All the really good authors ignore the first couple of deadlines ;)

  • I started off pretty well, but then my school's musical got in the way about half way through November (we went on the first two weeks of this month), and I had no time to write and had to stop. Oh well, I got to about 16 000, which is better than before.

  • i loved the very potter musical reference :)

  • Hayley, do you realize it's been almost a month since you've blogged?

  • you're so funny! love this! :]

  • Muahaha! No sympathy from me! I brilliantly ploughed my way to 100,000k this year! YES!

  • I started NaNoWriMo pretty well but then my laptop broke (for the third and final time this year) on the 12th (i think) and I lost the file until the 23rd(-ish) at which point I was too distant to jump back into my story quickly. And my other excuse is that I had a final exam on the 11th. But my end-of-November count was 15, 546, which I'm still pretty proud of. =]

Us NaNoWriMo losers gotta stick together Hayley, keep up the writing as I'm sure it's amazing!

  • i thought you were that chick from LG15 then i went to your channel and read what you wrote about not being her and i was like LOL

  • i lost.... half way through i dreamed a better book and started that one. since then i've started one more. i will never finish a book!!

  • that sucked!

  • I wrote 13,000 words before I realized I had no plot :(

  • I gave up about 5,000 words in.

  • i just lost interust in nanowrimo

  • For the most part I gave up on the 16th when my dog died. I only had about 7, 000 words anyway xP

I've missed you, Hayley. PLEEASE UPDATE YOUR BLOG :)

  • words of advice, next time you dye your hair go to a sallys or local beauty supply, get a developer and the stuff you mix in, its more expensive but you get better results c:

  • 1 word. annoying

  • i gave up on the 20th due to the fact that i just fail and i just had 20,00 words

  • I finished NaNoWriMo! C: I'm proud.

  • You have crazy hair Hayley. Crazy like a panini.

  • your amazingly hot

  • the fact that i had to go to this evil place called 'school' made it impossible for me to write as often as i wanted to and i was unable to finish :(

  • 5 Stars....... for the hair.

  • A VERY POTTER MUSICAL ♥

  • I could tell in the 5AG video that you dyed it, but I was distracted by how excited I was to see you in my Subscriptions feed (sadly all the way in page 5 or so), to comment on it! I'm also glad that this video popped into the pages of my subscription life. College is such a YouTube ruiner. I'm glad you're back home and making videos. :D

  • I was actually racing you there for a while, Hayley...and then I saw you were slowing down on your word count...and then I heard you had finals. I'm sorry you didn't finish but you were one of the main reasons I attempted and won NaNoWriMo this month so thank you!

  • I didn't finish NaNoWrimo. Haha. I gave up after 6,000 words.

Surprisingly, I don't regret it. I think I would have regretted it more if I had actually done it.

There is no way I would have finished.

Like Krisitina's song, "Forget about your grades, your boyfriend, and your job."

Except I don't have a boyfriend or a job to forget so I would have to forget about my grades.

    No going to happen. Ever.

  • Don't be ashamed. I quite before I even started and spent the time watching Youtube and dancing to Chartjackers. Which I'm still doing. :)

  • i wrote 2,856 words, six more than last year. dont be ashamed. XD

  • don't be ashamed :P I did about 456 words xD

  • 7,000 words then i lost. D:

  • I had my five wisdom teeth extracted, and got sick after. When I came back to school, I had three tests, two essays (and a half) and a project.

  • I did not attempt Nanorimo however I can talk about the one time I dyed my hair. It was for a play, we had no Hispanic males in the class and we needed one, I was cast and I dyed my hair black to better look the part (also a lot of Tan makeup which is not fun either. well long story short, the Temprary hair dye (supposed to come out in ~15 washes) wasn't and it looked like I had dunked my head in a barrel of crude oil. it just did not fit me at all. Buzzed my head to get rid of it.

  • Hayley what is Nanoreemo???

You get FIVE stars for your unmade bed.

  • nanorimo is "NAtional NOvel wRIting MOnth where you try to write an entire novel over the course of one month. it happens every November and thousands participate

  • Okay. Why would someone rush through writing a novel like that though???

  • for the hell of it! to challenge yourself! Everyone wants to be able to say they have written a novel. and if it's good enough, who knows? maybe you can make it into a masterpiece, get it published, and make millions. probably not but maybe, and you can feel proud of yourself for accomplishing something really impressive if you do finish.

  • It all makes sense now. Thank you.

  • you are very welcome!

  • I went to Poland and don't have a laptop so didn't manage to make the limit =[

  • Sassy nail polish, girlfriend.

  • Please, PLEASE tell me where you got your yellow rainboots. I honestly have been looking everywhere for a pair of yellow rainboots! Target, Walmart, ebay, the mall, even those expensive stores online that specialize in 'wellies' and the closest i have gotten is black with yellow trim. Where oh where Hayley?!?

  • I didn't finish because I had lots of essays to write, only to decide halfway through the month that I actually didn't like my course at university at all, so I was leaving.

And I got 23,000 words into my novel.

    *facepalm*

  • *Sigh. I didn't finish NanoWriMo this month either. In my defense, it was my first year! Agh, I'm sad that I didn't win. ):

  • Hayley, been looking at your videos and your pals. I love *YOU ALLS/ ya'll* videos. I don't know why but they are great. I think it maybe cause ya'll are smart and sassy. Or just smart, smart gals are cooler than those that just say things like "huh.. and what'. Anyways keep up ya'll's vlogs and all. Hope all is going well. Take Care And All.

    Later,

  • I lost NaNo by 20k words. : (

    See ya next year?

    Much love!!

  • Comment removed

  • I always lose interest in NaNoWriMo after a few days, but I still try every year anyways.

  • VERY POTTER MUSICAL WOOOOOTTTT!!!!!

  • I didn't win NaNo either, because I lost interest halfway in. xD Oh well. Maybe next year?

  • I'm so jealous of your rain boots!

  • I wanted to do NaNoWriMo but i had no time :( But there's always next year :) I missed you vids Hayley!

  • i didnt finish NaNoWriMo because im lazy and i didnt bother to start =(

  • I didn't finish NaNoWriMo because it was either give up or fall behind on school work and fail my mock exams. NaNoWriMo will be there again next year, my GCSEs will not. Hehe.

    Better luck next year!

  • I didn't finish it either, Hayley. I blame it on sophomore year of college

  • If finished NaNoWriMo! It was my first attempt and I am very proud of myself for finishing. About a week before the end of November I decided that I wanted to win and started writing like crazy. I finished a half an hour before midnight the 30th byt I finished!

    :o)

  • Finishing NaNoWriMo doesn't make somebody a BETTER writer than you, just a faster one.

  • Couldn't finish because of the small fact that I never started.

  • What's a nanowrimo?

  • National Write A Novel Month

  • i got to 7500 and thought wow im getting no where and went bowling with friends haha woops

  • I stared at my blinking cursor...then melted into a big ball of goo.

  • I don't have an NaNoWriMo story as I didn't even try, but I do so love your yellow wellies!

  • I think it is very nice that you volunteer for, and help promote, the Royal Family Kids' Camp. 5 stars and a big thumbs up!

  • I didn't finish NaNoWriMo because I met a boy. Reason number 54389571 boys complicate lives.

  • I wrote 3 words in my book and gave up lol

  • I lost NaNoWriMo because the cat I've had since I was 10 went missing halfway through, and I sort of started to hate everything :(

  • I got to 8,452 words. #fail. Mostly because this is my first quarter of grad school and it's overwhelmingly hard. School comes first...poo.

  • I didn't finish Nanowrimo because I didn't start it. Horrifying, I know.

  • Coraline boots!

  • I went to kansas to kansas over thanksgiving i made the mistake of taking my mac to write. My 48,00 word novel had a three year old cousin accidentally spill grape juice all over it. at least i had the waranty on the mac

  • I failed because I started to realise, with the rush of it all and not editing as I go, I was mixing my tenses up. This made me feel stupid and then I hit a writers block. Sigh,

  • I got about 2 days in then I had to have a baby. I wasn't due until late November but went in on the 3rd. I guess next year.

  • i didnt finish NaNoWriMo cause i forgot to start it. i didnt realize it had begun until like november 20th... FAIL!

  • avpm<333333 (:

  • my computer broke down due to virus half way through taking 15000 words with it. :(

  • You kind of sound like Cher from clueless. You voice is all....the sound.

  • We have the same bed frame...

    That's not creepy.

  • i failed because A) i transfered schools in mid-october and had to catch up B) i spent half of november GROUNDED. and C) i hated my story. WOOO! im jsut going to try agian next year.

  • I failed too. I actually started three different times with three different stories, then ended up having no time to continue with any of them because of school work and college transfer apps... I suppose there's always next year, eh?

  • BRAGTIME

I finished in two weeks =]

But its pretty poor quality, so its okay.

    <3

  • Can I come over haley?

  • I didn't finish NaNo because my grades dropped, like hardcore dropped.

Keeping a scholarship is more important than NaNo.

  • i lost because im lazy and my mom changed the computer passwords.

  • I didn't even START NaNoWriMo!! D*8 I bullied my friend into doing it (she won) and I signed up... But didn't write A SINGLE WORD. I lost. Very badly.

  • i lost too :(

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA YOU LOST?!

i did it and it was my first try/time.

    lololol

    sorry, bragging.

but seriously, sucks that you lost.

  • I lost too. *sigh* oh well

  • i had speech and debate, want to be captain next year so... god only nerdie things can take me away from nerdie things

  • i won...but i'm SOOO not a better writer. My book has more plot holes than twilight...yeah seriously

  • I won NaNo!! I won it 5 days early! :L x

  • Sorry you lost Hayley, would be interesting to read your attempt though.

  • i almost did NaNo then didn't last second. i prioritized lady gaga obsessing when i found out about the new album, plus i decided iwanted to spend time planning my book 'cause the plot has grown on me.

i came up with a not so great plot i could have written 50000 words on yesterday lol. just as NaNo finished. meh. theres next year :)

  • Yeah, you're the one who told me about NaNo, and I lost because this month was HECTIC.

    Plus, I was lazy.

  • I lost too.

I gave up in the first week. Sad times.

  • I lost, too. *sigh* Next year.

  • my word count: 7. i did the opening sentence. =]

  • Hayley! How I have missed you!

Thanks for posting this!! Hope college is going well :D

  • I was sure it was too late to sign up to NaNoWriMo a week after it started. I ended up signing up a within week before the deadline instead. For some reason I lost.

  • It's okay. -_- I lost NaNoWriMo too. It's a real self esteem low-er-er-er. -.-

  • Someone has a hair dye issues.. Why couldn't just wait till the store open the next day? Instead of flirting to get your dye fix??lol

I think that have a program for dye addicts.

    D.A.D Dye Another day... :P

  • I chickened out of NaNo :(

    No outro music?

  • I lost NaNoWriMo too! Hooray for us!

  • lol fun :D

  • sloppy hair!

  • HARRRRRRRRRRRRRRY i love a very potter musical!!

  • Missed you!

  • I would really like to read one of your stories!!

  • It was my first year doing NaNo... and I won last night at 7:30... wrote 15k yesterday to do it. I was tired when I finished.

  • I failed at NaNoWriMo. But I swear that I have a good excuse. I was visiting another country!

    No you're right. That's a lame excuse.

  • It doesn't matter if your hair is dyed, burnt, scruffy, combed, sleek, or shaved...you're still one sexy bitch Haley G Hoover. :D

  • I lost by about 46,000 words. XD It was a lot easier last year when I had 13 credit hours from a community college instead of 15 hours from a major university. Plus I spent two weekends traveling. Wrockstock and driving four hours to see the In the Heights tour. I have high hopes for next year...

  • I failed at 4,000 words. FAIL

  • I lost nano...but I started four days late... I am sure thats a good excuse right! HA!!! yeah right

  • I lost NaNo. Only wrote 17'000 words.

Life got in the way... :(

  • i gave up on nanowrimo, i only wrote abou 1500 words lol

  • I kind of failed. I actually wrote a non fanfic story, but it was only twenty pages written. That was actually good because on top of that, I had school and Pippin rehersal.

  • Rain boots? - we call them wellies.

    Anyway, nice colour.

  • I failed NaNo.... :\

  • There's always next year for the WriMos.

  • Yeah, I lost... Work got in the way, haha! Maybe next year... I guess it didn't help that I decided at the last second what to write about.

P.S Dig the yellow rain boots ;)

  • I WON!

    =D

  • i lost :( i'll try again next year :D

  • u look like amanda byen :)

  • ive heard you talk about rfkc before. NOW i'm more interested because i'm a social work major and i'm thinking about going into the foster care/adoption side of things. we will see!

  • YEAH I finished Nanowrimo! This was my first try too and it was in the middle of my year end exams. whoop whoop

  • I failed NaNo too, better luck next year

  • More intro music cute girl!!!

  • I failed NaNo because of school work :(

  • i fail at nanowrimo...

I got about 1000 words done and then crawled under a rock due to writers block...

    I'm gonna go cry now..

  • @makito8best7 I agree, all the teachers seemed to gang up on us in November!

  • You have to tell us you NaNoWriMo story! Like, how far did you get etc?

  • Oh shit

    I lost too :(

  • I'm so busy I had to postpone NaNoWriMo untill December-January. =/ hehe 5 stars

  • Anyway, thanks for the inspiration, and though, what can only generously be called my "rough draft" turned out lousy, my writing and overall level of output has improved.

Doing NaNoWriMo while starting college sounds insane, so kudos for even trying.

By the way, what was the premise of your novel? Just curious.

    {end of 2 of 2}

  • {smiles somewhat smugly, then hastily straightens face} I finished on the 27th with an official total of 50,046 words. I had a lot of free-time and my story was mostly unfinished, wildly disjointed, and semi-coherent. Now that I know what NaNoWriMo even is, I can prepare well in advance, should I decide to try it again, rather than the paltry four day notice I got this year.

    (1 of 2 cont...}

  • Oh that sucks that you didn't finish hope you do better next time I beleve in you hayley

  • I miss "this is hayley's vlog!" and the outro music!

I guess that's saved for comedy rather than talkie vlogs. But I miss you! Keep posting!
