Nice! I think the reason he is not eating the bird is because he is a work bird. A company would bring trained birds to the flightline in Germany to kill the other birds while we were doing engine runs or lauching 747s. It's pretty cool to watch. He might just be hunting for the hell of it.
Yes that's a pretty bird...There are a number of falcons and hawks within city limits. There's a smaller falcon that's a mid to light brown that I've been seeing in Los Angeles for years. Even had a owl smoop past my head in south central LA...Scared the you know what out of me. :)
