@Blessedratdragon, Super Sonic wasn't included because sonic 3d was only a quick filler after a failed project by Sega of America. Sonic Xtreme got canned to over workloads and short staff and so Yuji Naka pulled some strings with Travelers Tales to get S3D out in time. In short, Sonic 3D went from storyboard to final in less than a year and in truth relies mostly on its flashy prerendered graphics to ignore where gameplay, level design and story pretty much fall short due to rushing.
@RabidAlphaWolf That's only true for the Saturn version. The Genesis/Mega Drive version was always planned - so there's no excuse for Super Sonic's absence.
pretty good. too bad he isn't invincible. The real Super Sonic would never get hurt. (Unless he falls into a botomless pit or runs out of rings and falls into a trap)
Actually on Sonic 3, Robotnik's final form on launch base zone can knock you out of supersonic. I know your post was 8 monthes ago, but I'm just saying. :P
too bad he ain't invincible. but I like the level designing of the 2 1/2 acts. the first two being 2 long levels, while the 1/2 is the third act, which is the boss act.
ok, why didn't sega put super sonic in this game?

@RabidAlphaWolf You have to admit though, for its time, the game was pretty good.

Actually, that's a bug. In Sonic & Knuckles, Super characters will bounce off as if nothing happened.
You may think that it only applies to Super Knuckles, but that's just because he's the only character who can trigger that particular boss.
