  • Wow. That explains it. I'm in middle school and I almost have a nervous breakdown when I have to kick the ball in kickball. Everyone is staring at me, and what if I miss? And a bunch of other stuff goes through my head, but wow, guess now I know there really is something wrong with me...yay. (no offense intended)

  • ive had Social Anxiety Disorder my whole life and please check out my channel if u like :)

  • @xsocialanxiety559 Cool. I will!

  • Wow the passage you read, was exactly me! I think I will get the book

  • @felixthemaster1 It was a pretty good book.

  • @CrystalRainDrop789 i went to my doctor today and i was finally officially diagnosed!

  • this describes me perfectly..

  • I totally understand everything you've said as I get really anxious too over the smallest things like even walking down the road....all the emotions and feelings can be so intense...thank you for sharing and I really think that things can get better!

  • Any progress with overcoming your anxiety? Do the drugs work? ... you're cute :)

  • @danceisfun43 Thank you! The drugs have helped a lot and so has therapy.

  • You sound a lot like me, but thank goodness I could still go to college and live at home. I don't know what I would have done in the dorms, it would have been awful :\ And it's hard because it seems like college is the time when you're suppose to make friends and have fun, but you can't exactly do that if you have this fear of other people's judgement hanging over you head. How did the Lexapro work for you? I started taking it three days ago, so I'm still waiting for the full effect.

  • @hearthebutterflies Dorm life is really awful and I'm glad I won't have to go back to that again. Lexapro didn't work for me but I hope it works for you.

  • I hope you get better and better. But as you do, as long as you follow western culture and ideology, you will sink back again to the illness. The cause of this anxiety is the beliefs and thoughts that are woven into your brain since childhood.

  • @parsizaban It stems from certain events in my life.

  • @CrystalRainDrop789 tell me about those events.

  • I have social anxiety too. It's gotten so bad that I've missed about 8 weeks of school so far this year. Your videos are really helpful, I can really relate to how you feel.

  • @123Gooseberryfool I'm sorry :(

  • lol i tryed to try my fam from hillbilly hell this .... dad "son ... your just goin threw a phase quit complainin and get back to farm chore*shows paper proof from gov site ... dad kid ur crazy i get it get moveing

  • @waterfall815 Could you find some information to give him that will help him understand your problems are real? It's like any physical ailment the only difference is you can't see it.

  • @CrystalRainDrop789 if they wrent blind rednecks i coul its useless tho and nice vids sorry for commenting three diff vids its rare that i find self harm support channles still active and stuff so i looked at all the vids sorry sorry i wierd not a creeper i swear lol ..sorry

  • @waterfall815 Maybe you could at least try to give them some information. Do you think it would make things worse? There are lots of self harm support channels. You should take a look at idranktheseawater, xsullengirlx, and selfharmsupport.

  • Well done for putting a video up. Its difficult i think for some people to do anything that is likely to be negatively criticised by others. Recognising that you have a problem and seeking help for it means you are half way to working through a lot of the issues you struggle with. Why do I say that? Because its easy to think that nobody can help you. What his more, I believe you will find that one day you will help others too who suffer from SAD. In fact, just this video will be helping people!

  • @GREENEAGLZ Thank you so much! I've definitely made progress and I'll continue to.

  • hey man...i have social anxiety but i never let it defeat me...have you ever thought about wrtiting a journal?.,,i recommended that you jus write about every thing youve been through,...and be specific...jus try it once...no medication will will help you more than releasing all your emotions on paper...trust me you will learn to accept yourself and be happy...i wouldn tell you if i didn work for me...i have had social anxiety for 3 FUCKING years and jus recently im journalizing and its WORKING!

  • @danamakaveli15 I'm glad you found something that works well for you! Since my anxiety started about nine years ago I've been keeping journals. It does help to work through thoughts. I've found the most helpful thing to be getting on Zoloft which allowed me to finally be able to challenge and replace the negative thoughts. Exposure therapy has also helped.

  • @gttlrs It's a pain. But I'm going to start trying to work on it.

  • Do you know that you're one of the best woman i've seen so far ?!

i'm sorry my comment is off topic, but i feel i have to say it

  • Do you know that you're one of the best woman i've seen so far ?!

i'm sorry my comment is off topic, but i feel i have to say it

  • @ikbenrifi Awww, thank you :D That's so sweet.

  • I have just watched the 3.30 part......omg, the same happens to me.... :$

  • @mba1974 Really? It's not very fun to feel uncomfortable in the place you live.

  • I identify myself with that problem.....kinda.

  • as you know I suffer from Social Anxiety as well. I wish you all the best Kelly.

  • @cementfrog Thanks :) I feel like a wimp. It shouldn't be that hard to cash a freaking check at the bank. eesh.

  • @CrystalRainDrop789 I have a hard time talking to people I don't know on the phone, but making videos isn't a struggle at all. I know I'm weird. :)

  • @cementfrog I'm the same way. And oddly enough I can still act. I think it's because acting involves something I've practiced a lot and so I'm less worried that everyone is judging me and noticing every mistake. Although I usually pick apart my performances.

  • Are you using Reiki on yourself daily? And if not, why? I's important that you do so, even through all of this stuff. Love & Light!

  • @RainbowMoonHealing I should use it more often. At points I felt I didn't deserve it.

  • @CrystalRainDrop789 You know that's not true! Please Reiki yourself daily. I will even send you Reiki if you would like as well.

  • I have that too..getting better tho :) *hugz*

  • @Runark79 Thanks!

  • I can identify with a lot of this. I'm a junior in college and live in a dorm, so I know what it can be like living in that kind of environment. Sometimes awkward...and sometimes stressful. Great video and enjoy your Christmas break! :)

  • @laurelisavantgarde I'm thinking I'm probably going to transfer schools. I don't know where, though.

  • I know exactly how I feel, I get the same way and it really sucks. Not only that but I have severe anxiety and was born with aspergers too. All these things make my life more difficult, I dont have many friends either and I've also suffered from depression too. It sucks but I believe in the long run everything will get better.

  • @maasikas90 I'm thinking of switching schools and that might help I hope.

  • I'm glad you are making progress with your problems!. After watching this video i think i might have social anxiety as well, which i have never really considered, so in the long run this may help me out as well. I know how frustrating it can be to be in your situation, just try not to be too hard on yourself, you are on the right path by confronting the problem.

  • @Sonic88Reducer Apparantly not many people with social anxiety actually get therapy. If it hadn't been for my sister thinking that might be what I had I wouldn't have known.

  • Kelly look into TWLOHA(To Write Love On Her Arms) They can also help you out. They'll be right by your side holding your hand guiding you through depression, anxiety or even worse. Its ran by people who overcame their depression, anxiety or self injury problems, so they could help people like you and me. I'm not saying you hurt yourself, but they're there for everything. Because of them, I've been 6 months recovered from my past depression and self injury. :) Love you buddy,Namaste.

  • @m22frogger I'm messaging you :)

  • MEDITATE DAILY.I had Obsessive thoughts, not good stuff,Meditation cured me.Now my mind's like a calm pond,I only have intentional thoughts. A true relief. I taught a friend w/ serious anger issues,& in no time he transformed 2 a calm, rational, often happy person. A friend has had nightmares & Terrors, his whole life & after3months of meditation, he started lucid dreaming,& nothing is terrorizing him anymore, hes in charge. So R U.behaviors strengthen synapses, clearing ur mind rewires it. PEACE.

  • @xwhatever33x I need to take more time to meditate and relax. It really does wonders! :)

  • @xwhatever33x Speaking of meditating...I've found myself face to face with the divine while depressed because of that. Its the most beautiful feeling in the world, being healed by those means.:)

  • Don't take those chemical drugs!! :O

Take something like St.Johnwort, which is natural and works wonders!

    Good luck!

  • @Phyle9 Do you know what the drugs do? I'm a psych minor and my sister is studying to be a clinical psychologist so I've learned a lot about the science behind them. They are SSRIs. They balance the chemicals in the brain (norepinephrine, serotonin, dopamine) when there are not enough. They do not alter or change. They fix. Sometimes you need extra help. It's not a crutch but it does help.

  • @CrystalRainDrop789 Sorry that i have to disagree with you and your sisters' academic training, but SSRI's are total crap. They screw up your hormone balance and in the (not so long)term you will be dependant on them.

    Avoid at any cost!

  • @Phyle9 I'm afraid you're mistaken. I'm being closely monitored to be certain that I have no bad side effects. My sister has been on Zoloft for five years and she does very well with it. When she went off it her OCD got much worse. I also know people who are able to go off the drugs just fine. However, anxiety is something that often lasts a whole lifetime and so going off it can make the symptoms reappear. This may look like dependency when in reality it is reoccurrence of symptoms.

  • This happens to me also, and is very difficult to manage, i can truly say that this anxiety has affected some areas in my life, im struggling to solve this.

I cant do some things because i just KNOW that the result will be negative.

For example, getting the car and going out to the road takes a lot of courage, i always think i will do something wrong, or crash, or something like that.

I cant also observe good things about myself, i always focus on the mistakes.

And a lot of other disgraces.

  • @fiscornioman Exactly. Even when you do something right it seems like nothing compared to all the things you do wrong.

  • Same here.. i was diagnosed with social anxiety disorder a year or so back. It can be incredibly difficult if you focus on the negative aspects of it, with my experience people who have anxiety tend to be more empathetic and caring. And also your anxiety can be incredibly liberating when felt through meditation.

Have a great day and have fun transcending this experience.

    peace

  • @DGRlubz You're right about how anxiety make you more empathetic. I'm a lot more aware of others feelings. I guess that's a positive that came out of a negative.

  • what you FOCUS on is what will BE

  • @KnivesMonroe True. It's hard to focus on the positive but I'm going to try really hard to work on it.
