Nice job in showing how to play "Too Many People." You play the right chords, but on the Ram album, Paul used different chord voicings for his acoustic guitar. He tuned all six strings down one whole step (just like on "Yesterday.") Then, he used chord fingering for A, A7, D, then Bflat min6 (xx3201). The chorus is G, D, E, A. With the guitar tuned down, the song sounds in the key of G. Paul used the same guitar tuning for "Heart of the Country." Try it! It's easier/simpler to play.
Super!!!! I thought there must be some trick to this song. I'm going to give it a try and see/hear what it sounds like. Awesome and much appreciated. Thanks for making me look like a fool....ha ha ha. No seriously, thanks and I'll give it a try. Cheers.
Thanks for sharing this, all your lessons are great. Ram is one of my favourite albums, full of classics and so under-rated. Could you do a lesson on Oh Woman, Oh Why from the same album please? Peace.
One of my top all-time favourites. Sooooo underrated. Actually, Oh Woman, Oh Cry was the B-side to Another Day, both of which did not appear on the original album (but you probably know this). I have the vinyl version (on apple) which I often listen to. I'll see what I can do about putting up a lesson for this as well as Another Day (which I love). Thanks for the support.
Thank you for posting this, I hadnt heard this song for a long time until recently. I forgot how much I enjoyed it. Now to grab the guitar and learn it thanks to you.
@armandgallanosa Thanks for the comment. I know the song. Used to listen to it all the time off the London Town album. I'll have to learn it and then I'll try to put it up.
I've also played this in an open G tuning which makes it easier, at least to play the verses... THANK YOU SO MUCH for showing it in standard tuning! Great ear good job!!!!
@johnniegiv You are very welcome. Glad I could help. I've been trying to get this song sounding right for quite some time. I think I came pretty close. Although, my wife thinks my ears are a bit too big. LOL. Thanks for the support.

Thanks for watching and for the comments. Maybe one day I'll get an SG, but with 6 guitars already, I'm running out of space. Cheers.

Joe!! Great choice of songs. One of Paul's best. And, as usual, another 5 star lesson. Keep rockin'
