according to muse wiki this is the only studio album muse song that they have never played live. isnt that crazy?? i cant imagine it being the only one
There was something I read years ago on the muse forum about the reasons for matt not wanting to play FAWY live, the other members even wanted to play it, it was just a very personal song for matt and I think you can tell this if you read/listen to the lyrics properly - anyone who can relate to it will probably understand.
really? well I'm not too sure, but I don't think this song has ever been played live because the different parts are really hard to sync together on just one go
If you actually listened to the song you would know that this isn't a part of it. This song has never, ever been performed live. Like I said, this is an early jam they played before they even wrote Falling Away With You. That's why it sounds similar, the song was based off the jam.
You said it..."the song was based off the jam". Therefore, wouldn't that be basically the same song? Plus like I previously said, "You can even hear the bassline from the chorus of the original song come in at 0:22"...It also has the same chord progression! This part they played is the part before the finger-plucked acoustic guitar section of the song. If YOU actually listened to the song, you will realize this.
Go properly listen to it before you comment back...
No it isn't the same song. "based off of the jam." based. off. of.
not the same song. Seriously, what's the point in arguing? No need to single me out, plenty of other people know that this song has never been played live. EVER.

It is 2002. When they played it as an intro to starlight they only played the beginning of the song and this recording is only the chorus part

*Ahem...
This IS a live performance...can't you hear the people in the background and the bad quality?!
This IS the song, except it's just a short, lyric-less version. You can even hear the bassline from the chorus of the original song come in at 0:22.
Pwned.

@iwishatx11x11
Whatever, believe what you want to believe.
All I am saying is it's the same chord progression, same tempo, same bassline, just different guitar part. That's probably what is throwing you off.
And when people say, "Never been performed live", they mean the whole song.
HLGGanoth 1 year ago
@iwishatx11x11
It is the same song. Just before it was developed and put on to an album.
It. Is. Falling. Away. With. You.
