  • Good test enjoyed watching this Vid weldone m8

  • @TamrynRimfire cheers mate , i done this for a laugh just to see what a pellet could do to bone......not a lot X) i may have to do this with my promethius SN2's and see how they fare :)

  • Im a hunter myself, but the smallest we are allowed to hunt with here in Norway is a 22 cal. Ive heard about you guys in britain actually hunting with BB guns. Is that legal in the UK? I like your insect vids too, ever thought about studying Entomology?

  • No BB guns are definatly not for hunting but you do get the odd fool using them,as you know theyre not accurate enough & in most cases not powerful enough for a clean kill although i have seen some impressive vids with a modified DROZD machine pistol with extended barrel & external bottle which puts out more than enough power & very accurate considering the BB ammo,as for insects i find them so interesting but i dont really have the time to study at mo but will do soon, glad you liked the vids :)

  • if ye go to your local butcher i'm sure he'll give ye a few nice ones, i often get them for my dogs.

  • yeah good idea i have some new pellets to try promethius air bullets which are made from tin so in theory they should go through easier :)

  • nice, i'm looking forward to it.

  • cooked bones are way weaker than raw ones try using raw bones

  • Yes very good point, not sure the missus will appreciate me ripping out the bone before cooking though :)

  • seen they sabo's mate had a tin of them and sold them for a fair bit of dosh when the company went into liquidation! never fired one looked like theyed be very unacurrate and could reck the barrel.. but i could be wrong

  • Yeah thats one thing im not sure about is barrel damage although they are a plastic casing around the steel bullet shame i'd love to get my hands on some were yours red plastic outers with a copper coated steel bullet shape centres??

  • from what i can remember they were gray plastic outting with the copper bullet! looked fucken lethal but didnt try em.. wish i did now!

those rws hollow points dont half blow holes mate, try them on a tin can 10 yards away and the holes were a good size going in

  • yeah from what i remember they did look lethal you just know those feckers aint gonna stop for no-one just a little small though a .25 sabot round would be ok as then the projectile would be around the .22 size mmmm lethal, ive never used hollow points as the lack of down range accuracy is no good for me but if i ever get the chance to shoot rats then those will b the type i'll use

  • i had ago of a gunpower stealth putting out 28ft/lbs hhoooowa hooo that was scarey power! but 12ft/lbs does me...

  • mmm those are a unique looking gun and ive looked into those...as standard they're not a great gun with a few problems but after modifying the faults with the many mods available the rifle becomes a very capable tool...28ft/lb is good not sure what they're capable of ...but 12ft/lb for me is VERY frustrating especially as i love long range shooting but then again i face a greater challenge because of that lack of power but range is limited when the crops are cut im gonna push the boundaries:)

  • very interesting mate. Cant believe you've run out of human bone though. Imagine what damage an fac rated airgun in .22 or.25 will do. definately penetrate 10mm of skull i reckon.

  • LOL!! yeah the feckers can not half run when they see you with a bloody huge knife...& im quite fast LOL!! :)

i think the only thing that limits an air rifle is the pellets as they are so soft(not designed for bone)once they used to make a pellet that had a ball bearing centre called ballistics but like most unusual things they dont last SABOT rounds are also a thing of the past but a very interesting idea & something i would like to pursue further im just trying to work out how to make em??:)

  • Whata a SABOT round mate? i bought some bisley magnums today they are incredibly tight in the tx's barrel and ive got to re-zero, but judging by the extra recoil(dont know why that is) and the sound of impact. They will be deadly, albeit at a bit closer range. Tried some jsb exacts and they're accurate as fook! Where's the blackpowder cannon?

  • A SABOT round is a sub bore sized hard metal sharp bullet encased in a plastic or similar jacket to fit the bore of the weapon which falls away after it leaves the barrel designed to penetrate hard/armoured targets ,a very interesting round...the new pellets sound good the recoil may be from the extra weight??jsb's ive gotta try those..the cannon is undergoing a major modification......wont be long but some major work involved but going well thanks for asking:)

  • nice vid mate

  • cheers mate:)

  • u had any progress with the farmer yet?

I'm hopefully going hunting tomorow, more wabbits with ma s200 kilin machine, oh 1 mor tin, have you thought about which air rifle ur gna get yet

  • no just waiting for the manager to retire in june and then i'll ask the new one as he is normal.......well more normal than the moody old git LOL! OOOOOOOH MORE WABBITS YA LUCKY GIT:) and as for new rifle xmas will probably b the time but still looking for the one all i know it will b multi shot pcp deadly accurate heavy modded and unique just not sure what yet????? good luck with the hunt hopefully the land owner will let you have some this time :)
