All the brat pack crew had now officially grown up, finnished adolescence, and now into early adulthood. This film displayed the most accurate portrayal of how real world complicated relationships end up being.(IMHO) And they happen way too often. At least in my experience. Maybe that is why this was one of my least favorite John Hughes films. Hit too close to home.

@robinw1720 Getting with Duckie is too predictable. the point of the film is that they were best friends and best friends want what makes the other one happy. If she got with Duckie at the end then it begs the question why wasn't she already with him in the first place? Duckie loves her so much he wants her to be happy but the underlying message is that er and Blane and her probably won't last and she wil eventually turn to Duckie agian.
