Personally I got more of a Hatebreed feel from this song (this is the fist time I have listened to this band). As for the second part of that: It is true that slam dancing is just what "Hardcore" kids do, but that doesn't keep it from being gay. Yes moshing at its core is "people running into each other", but that is because it is a reflection of the brutality of the music.
