I'm kind of like you. My mom was born in Jamaica and my dad born in the US. I do pick up little bit of the Jamaican accent from my mom because I grew up with mostly with my mom and my dad was in the army so he was gone a lot. I understand your pain because this one girl in high school asked if my family smoke marijuana and I got offened because she was asking if my mom and her family smoke. I'm like just because my mom and her family are from Jamaica, doesen't mean that they smoke.
