it doesn't matter what she looks like caballe could portray anything with her glorious voice. listening is what is important. these days we have slim, beautiful sopranos (caballe is very beautiful though!) but they do not have half the talent and gift of this most wonderful singer. to act physically is one thing but vocally you cannot get better than Montserrat...a legend and a wonderful person to boot!!!

It's kind of she isn't completely inside the role, if you understand what I mean. In my opinion, she should have done some pauses in the "speech"... For those of her lovely high notes, I say that she didn't use them 100% well~~~~

For instance, those high notes were very well in - as we are in Puccini - O mio babbino caro... Do you understand?

But it is still wonderful !!! ***** :-)

si, bueno, yo tampoco soy gran fan ni de callas ni de caballe, y si, ambas quisieron agregar a su repertorio toda la opera escrita del mundo, a la callas unas les resuto favorable y otras no ( su carmen es horrorosa) pero no hay mejor lucia di lammermor y cuando caballe interpreto a lucia di lammermor pues... mejor la lucia(mimi) de la boheme, aunque si come letras al cantar siempre en la mayoria de arias q interpreta, su calidad vocal es increible y hermosa. digna representante del bel canto.
