i have the same rifle. it is very accurate with the peap sights. i hit a beer can at 150 yds. open sights. i love my mauser. and what you paid is about what there worth.
Also, I don't know if it's because you have a newer firing pin or something, but I cannot get mine to unscrew like yours did. I think my Mauser may have a one piece firing pin
Actually, next time you might want to try Numrich, they LITERALLY have every part you'll ever find that exists on the open surplus weapon market....if it ain't there, you won't find it anywhere else...
I like weapons too! Especially old Mausers, this was a great video, even better 1st.-time vid! Keep them coming, I love these films...and check out mine, I did just a few at first on checking headspace and it just got good to me...done 54 of them now!
And yes, you'll love the Mosin...but the Yugo and German Mausers are more accurate, can't say on the Turkish one since I don't have one...next on the list if I can find a good one...

@griebz Corrosive Surplus ammo, corrosive primers. It will erode the bore if it is not cleaned shortly after shooting.
