@MrSlasken I figured out the problem, All you needa do is, click Start, right click My Computer and open Properties, click Advanced System Settings one the left hand side, go to System Security, System Protection, then click System Restore. After that follow the steps and it will make you restart your computer. After that you will have the startup menu you had when you first bought the laptop :) pm me if you need more help

@watchmeout30 You only lose whatever programs you have installed after the point you restored back to. If the restore point you choose is at a point after you installed your Office Pack, it will be unaffected.

@ShotsFrance If your computer boots up...as soon as it boots up put it in safe mode and try the restore like that if it wont boot up normally, sounds like you have a virus of sum sort but if it fully crashed an no boot ur best bet is to install win 7 again

@ShotsFrance If your computer boots up...as soon as it boots up put it in safe mode and try the restore like that if it wont boot up normally, sounds like you have a virus of sum sort but if it fully crashed an no boot ur best bet is to install win 7 again

I followed your instructions and my system restore always brings up my cpu to how I first got it, I dont mind anything to get rid of these constant crashes and super slow windows speed. I had the antimalware virus and I deleted it. I thought the problem was solved but instead I got even more viruses!! Please help.. I click on the system restore buton and the next window doesnt allow me to click "next" or "back" just cancel.. HELP, pleasee

Ok this is what happend..
i restarted my computer.
then it came up to the login password (i have a password).
then all of a sudden i lost EVRYTHING (Files, music, pictures)
and it looks just like how i first bought it please help :(
i had some pictures that i can never get back and im desperate to get em :(

@Figuer0 You want format, I've come across it a few times but can't remember specifically where it is. But be sure you are absolutely certian that you want to Format your PC. Because after you do it, there's no going back.

After i updated from vista to 7, i realized that i couldn't play any online games anymore, every time i opened the game it always shows something something fail, so i found out that i could use system restore to go bak to vista but here is another problem came up, i don't have previous restore point, so i create one but no matter how many points i created, it never success, could you help me to solve this problem??

is there any other way to do this without using the start button or going to the "computer" folder? because i have a problem where my whole entire desktop is black and all i have is a mouse and the only way i can open up programs is by using task manager, and if i try right clicking on computer using task manager i get an error message, any ideas? thanks
