This is such a cheap, crappy, 'jumping on the exorcism bandwagon' film which has been seen and done before - and to much greater effect. The priests have got to be the most naive, amateur exorcists alive, I could have done a better job, they never seemed to respect or appreciate the potential of the demonic forces at work or see the warning signs until it was too late. A pointless film.

I thought that "The Devil Inside" was a very decent attempt in the 'demonic possession' sub genre of horror cinema. The acting was about as good as the production value. Does it stand up to the seminal "The Exorcist"? No. But those are some VERY large shoes to fill. I think that compared to the myriad films that have been spawned (or inspired by) since the aforementioned title, this is one of the best. It's not an instant classic, but it's worthy of its ticket price at the box office.

The problem with this movie is the marketing. Its style was given away as this creepshow of people being bent and making eerie noises which isn't scary or horrifying as what true possession implies. It should be about pleasures and desires possessing people to the point where unspeakable acts are committed. It's what a true horror movie is like in my opinion

The Exorcism of Emily Rose turned me off of the exorcism type genre. So I will not be seeing this one either. The original Exorcist should have been the last of the genre.

You want good films like Pee Wee's Great Adventure and Back to the Future, then lets demand those, lets not settle for garbage just because it's in the same vein -- I personally like all the Spy Kids movies, so I get where you're coming from, but we need to worry about quality control, or we're looking at a world not unlike that in Mike Judge's Idiocracy.

you wanna know why everyone hates the ending? There is no closure. You don't know the origins of the demon or its intentions, you don't find out what happened with the one priest and his uncle, and the ending doesn't fit in with the rest of the movie. The characters are all pretty dumb throughout the movie, especially the filmaker and David. So, its prob cuz ur an actor, but open your eyes, this movie is absolutely terrible

At my theater, everyone BOO'ed at the end. I couldn't remember the last time I actually heard BOO's at the theater. I agree with you, though. It wasn't a terrible film, but I guess everyone felt like they were in for more than they got.

I think a lot of the time it comes down to personal beliefs. As someone who believes there ARE unknown paranormal forces out there the thought of demons/malevolent ghosts/possession scares the fuck out of me. But while I can sometimes be entertained by the generic slasher (guy with a knife/chainsaw/paper shredder) stuff, I haven't really been "scared" by any of it since I was about 10.

nobody liked it but coming from an avid film fan the movie sucked, plain and simple the ending was bad, but everything else was equally as bad, the movie was a bit boring at times and there weren't many scary scenes. most jump scares were terrible, a dog barking was one of them? c'mon maybe they did the bad ending to try and make a 2nd part. who knows but its not a good movie at all. 2/10 some interesting scenes, 1 or 2 likeable characters, and a few comedic scenes...

My problem with these "found footage" movies, is that it seems insulting to the audience's intelligence that not only would people have the presence of mind to film during terrifying supernatural events, but that that the footage would be shown publicly. This was a novel gimmick during the early internet days, fueling speculation of it's credulity, but seeing as it's become an entire genre, full of tropes as all do, it's not as refreshing. Plus, it comes off as a disguise for cheap film making.
