We get people launching them all the time where I live in the summer. They're like miniature hot air balloons about a foot high, people use candles to provide the heat source. You can buy them commercially. Try a google search. Anyways they look just like that.

Two jet aircraft with afterburner (IMHO). If you freeze frame around 0.26 you can make out a dark object just in front of each light (the aircraft). A voice on the video states they are flying the same route as aircraft take (words to that effect). Both objects flying in a uniform manner - the separation suggests one departed shortly after the other (using an established airway). Both objects below the cloud base - not "going into space". Did anyone check with Southampton Airport ?

I watched lanterns like these being launched at the Greenman festival in Wales last year. There's no doubt they're lanterns. The flickering is from the candle inside.

Hi there. Im intrigued by this video and the same ones spotted around warwickhire, i myself have seen these two orange lights in formation on two seperate occasions. both with a group of different friends....these are not balloons. i have no logical explanation for either sighting

no, they weren't. Why are people so eager to disprove ufo's. Do some research.. more and more past astronauts are coming forward with ufo sighting testimonies, there are even tape recordings from space missions with strange encounters with UFOs

..but they do have proof. I'd say Video footage is pretty convincing. Besides, they never cover stuff like this in MSM for many reasons. There was ufo sightings in NJ last year. It was in all the local paper, people including authorities were perplexed and said they have never seen anything like it before .. weird

IMO, its the red arrows returning from a sortie/event.

We saw the exact same thing the other night, and in the end we counted 10 of them over 1 hour.

Think about if, if they returned at night in formation, you would have definately thought it was a ufo!!!

What's all this about CHINESE LANTERNS? This is ridiculous! These objects are being seen all around the uk! On July 21st, clusters of loads and loads of UFO's were seen in the following areas on the same night-

Startford Upon Avon

Reading

Guildford

Farnham

Some of these sightings appear to be lots and lots of lights. lighting lanterns?
